ProBlogger Group Writing Project – Reviews and Predictions

Posted By Darren Rowse 18th of December 2006 ProBlogger Site News 0 Comments

200612181504It’s time for another ProBlogger Group Writing Project – and this time we’ve got 10 prizes worth between $2000 to $2500 USD!

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SUBMITTING. Particularly pay attention to the instruction to submit NEW posts not previously written ones. Old posts (written before today) won’t be accepted and will not be eligible for a gift. Thanks for your understanding.

The Topic

This project’s topic is ‘Reviews and Predictions…….’

Your task is to write a post that looks back or looks forward (on what is up to you).

  • You might want to look back on the year that was (topical for this time of year)….
  • You could make some predictions about what the new year will bring in your niche….
  • You could look back on some aspect of your life….
  • You might use the post to make some resolutions for the year ahead….
  • You might like to give an award for the last year to someone in your niche….
  • You might look back on the 10 biggest developments, 5 biggest mistakes, 72 best quotes…. of your niche….

Write it in any style you like, a rant, list, poem, video, pictorial, haiku, podcast….. anything

Be as creative as you can and take this in any direction you like. You’ll have a much better chance of getting your post noticed if it’s useful and/or interesting to readers and write something relevant to the topic of your blog.

Once you’ve written your post simply follow the process for participating that I’ve outlined below (please note – to be eligible for the gifts from our sponsors you need to follow the guidelines below).

  7. nice topic, quite suitable for this period of the year

  8. […] Well, here we are. The end of the calendar year is almost here and we come to a time when we like to evaluate what we have did with ourselves over the year as well as what we will set our minds to achieve for the coming year. I have decided to share what I believe has been the three most influencial moves(three amigos) for the growth of the readership of dipnoi, so that you as readers can possibly benefit your blog with one or more of these tasks, that I have benefited from, over the next calendar. I would also like to share with everyone that this post will be in the ProBlogger “Group Writing Project” and if you have never participated I would highly recommend you to try it at least once. […]

  27. […] Part 3 of the Heart Rate Monitor Guide and the Problogger project. […]

  28. […] After reading about the Problogger Group Writing project I decided to participate and write about what the future holds for me. As you know this past year has been tough as I was let go from a job I loved and had to look into a career change. I’m going back to school and hopefully next fall I’ll be in the Radiology program at the local community college. One day I’ll be an x-ray technician. Also, hopefully one day I will find love. I’m heppy being single but it seems like several times I’ve found someone special that I wanted to date or possibly fall in love with it didn’t happen. There have been a variety of reasons this past year including language barriers, and distance barriers. I have no ill feelings for any of these people because at one point in my life they were very important to me. That made them special then and makes them special now. Another important thing that happened to me this past year is this blog. I’m not sure what made me decide to start a blog but in August thats what I did. My blog also brought me in contact with a startup blog for advertising company and alot of great new friends. As far as my online presence goes, I couldn’t be happier. I feel I’ve came a long way in the four months I’ve been a blogger. And the last important thing that happened to me this year was my new job. I am a security officer for a hospital. It’s a good job for me to have while going to school because the hours are very friendly. The pay is competitive but I would love to be making more money (who wouldn’t). I’ve also made some really good friends at the hospital. They have to be good friends because every night I trust them to have my back in any situation and I have theres. Now, what is the new year going to bring? I wish I knew. Hopefully it’ll bring me success in school and in love. I don’t know if it will bring either but only time will tell. I do know that I will be putting every effort into my blog to make it more of a success. Some of my goals for the blog are to get the page rank higher (right now it’s 0), make some money without compromising my integrity or the integrity of my blog, and to raise my daily readership. It would be nice to get some more email subscribers. My goals for school are simple. I want to make good grades and learn as much as I can. My goals for my love life….well who knows. I would love to find someone to love me (or to start, just want to date me or just hang out). You should stay tuned here and I will keep you updated on how everything goes for the new year. […]

  29. […] First off, I have to thank Darren Rowse of Problogger.net. His group writing project got me off my butt when it comes to this blog to churn something out. I have not participated before but this time his criteria really fit into something I wanted to do. A great kick in the pants. Thanks Darren! […]

  30. […] As I like to do, I am participating in the group writing project of problogger.net. If you are a blogger you need to read that blog. In this writing project we are to either look back or look forward in some way. I am going to talk about the few failed preaching website projects and then a my plans for next year and SoulPreaching.Com. […]

  31. […] I’m going to jump on the wagon. This time the assignment is Reviews and Predictions. We all know how fond I’ve become of predicting the future and reflecting on my recent past. So what’s one more post ? […]

  38. Hi Darren,

I wish we could do one per blog as I have some neat ideas for my personal blog too. But I guess my professional blog is probably more interesting for most of the readers here.

  45. […] It’s become somewhat of a tradition for journalists to use this time of year to reflect upon the year gone by and maybe even make a few predictions. I might be the furthest thing from a traditional journo and I’ve never had much inclination to reflect on the past year and I don’t think I’ve ever made a prediction that’s stuck. Blogging guru Darren Rowse is hosting yet another group writing project and it’s gotten the creative juices flowing. So here, for the first time are some tongue in cheek motorsports predictions from The Garage for 2007. […]
