Are you Ready to Win some Cash? The ProBlogger Giveaway continues!

problogger-birthday-bash.jpgMuch like the opportunity to win the iPods the other day, this giveaway requires you to do only one very simple thing, and you can do it right here in the comments section of this post. But first…

The Prizes:

All are listed in US Dollars unless otherwise mentioned.

How To Enter:

In the comments section of this post (and you’re welcome to post your entry on your blog if you wish, but it’s not required as long as you’ve posted it here) finish this statement: “If I had a million dollars…”

Sure, we don’t have a million, but we’ve got quite a bit here to give away! $3,364.33 just in cash and Amazon Gift Certificates (and another couple bucks in non-American money with a bonus NFL Pro Bowl Ballot that we have no idea the monetary value of) to be exact!

So there you have it. Be funny, silly, serious, it doesn’t matter! Just finish that statement in the comments section of this post and you’re entered to win one of the above prizes.

Rules: One entry per person. If you have already won something from one of our other giveaways, you are not eligible to win. Winning one of the prizes listed above will prevent you from being able to win any other prizes for the duration of the giveaway.

Winners are chosen at random using a random number generator. You may not “pick” the prize you want, we will award them in the order that we receive the random winners.

This contest begins at 9am on Friday, October 5, EST (New York, USA) and ends on Saturday, October 6 at 9am EST (Again, New York, USA). We will close comments at that time.

PS: We are about to turn the ProBlogger Birthday Bash into OVERDRIVE! Up til this point we’ve been giving prizes away every 24 hours – but in a few hours we’re going to accelerate the pace a little and the giveaways will start coming every 8 hours (with a few more 24 hour ones thrown in) until the end of the weekend!

Make sure you’re subscribed to our feed now or you’ll miss out!

Update

This one’s closed, and winners have all been notified by email.Check out our newest 24 hour giveaway, or see what’s going on in the 8 hour collections!

  1. If I had a million dollars… I would buy thousands of rabbits and buy them a football field to live on.

  2. If I had a million dollars, I would go on a world tour with Australia as my first stop to meet the problogger himself in person.

  3. If I had a million dollars… I would ride my bike all over the world. I’d do the Race Across America again. I’d do the Great Divide Race. I’d ride from the tip of North America to the tip of South America. I’d even ride across Australia!

  4. If I had a million dollars… I would make a million more….

  5. If I had a million dollars… I would play $1000/2000 NL poker and crush everyone!

  6. If I had a million dollars, presuming I didn’t need it to maintain my present standard of living (which includes buying lots of books from Amazon.com and being a multi blogger), I’d not spend a bit of it, I’d invest it.

And, with the profits from my investment, I’d support my projects, which would be many. I’d really like a billion dollars to work with, but, hey, a million is good too. A couple of my projects:

    1. I’d buy up inner city and waste land, and build ecologically neighborhoods and supporting institutions and commerce centers, linking them together with wide non motorized walkways and bike paths. I’d add lots of open space, with natural plantings, keeping all the native trees and plants in place as much as possible.

    2. I’d make schools better places for both students and faculty. Recess would reappear, both morning and afternoon, with an hour to play at lunchtime.

School lunch food would be nutritious, delicious, and attractive. No more skimping on the food or the service. All vending machines containing sugary drinks and candy, and salty treats would disappear.

Homework would be totally optional, and limited to fun projects the students could select for themselves. All levels would be open and fluid, students moving from one level to another when they were able to do that level of work in a particular subject area. All students would be A students, and allowed to take the time they need to reach A level work on any assignment.

Those are only part of what I’d do. Want to help me do it?

  7. If I had a million dollars, i would share 25% to moslem charity groups, then build company to solve unemployment problem at my country, and then plug in internet connection to my home, because internet rent is so far from my home, so i can read problogger articles everyday at my home. :)

If I had a million dollars, I would start making Film With Indian Super Star Hrithik Roshan.

  9. If I had a million dollars….I would invest part of it in education insurance to ensure my children’s tuitions to any college are taken care of, the other part I’ll use to travel the world and also donate some to children’s charities.

  10. If I had a million dollars, I would take my beautiful wife for a long trip around the world.

  11. If I had a million dollars I probably wouldn’t be entering this contest for a few hundred dollars – but I don’t have a million dollars so I’m going to enter this contest for a few hundred dollars.

  12. If I had a million dollars…I still wouldn’t be debt free.

  13. If I had a million dollars I’d travel.

  14. If I had a million dollars I’d follow the Red Sox across the country for a season or two.

  15. If I had a million dollars I’d launch a campaign to help under-priviledged children academically.

  16. If i had a million dollars, I would make a movie about myself.

  17. If I had a million dollars I would put enough money aside so that all my children (my son and any future children we may have) would be secure (such as a trust). I would buy a house, pay off the mortgages on both my parents house and my in-laws house and then invest the rest.

  18. If I had a million dollars…I would be a millionaire! :)

  19. If I had a million dollars… I’d do the obvious like pay my mortgage and that of my parents.

Then I’d fly to Zurich and deposit the rest in a bank account and travel a bit while I gave serious thought to how to spend the rest. A balance between charitable giving (probably sponsoring children) and investment (so the giving could last longer).

Also, I’d be able to say yes every time someone asked “do you want fries with that?”

  20. If I had a million dollars I would buy a new house and invest enough of the money to be able to live off the interest for a few years and then I would spend all my time developing an MMO that I have an idea for.

Boring I know but that’s my passion, what can I say? :-)

  21. If I had a million dollars – I’d spend some, I’d save some, I’d invest some..

  22. If I had a million dollars, I would share half of it with Darren, for letting me win this contest.. :)

  29. If I had a million dollars, I would buy land here in Guatemala, build a beautiful house for my family and I would also visit my family in Canada a couple times a year. I might also get a new computer . . . this could turn into a long list!

  30. If I had a million dollars…I’d be a millionaire

  31. (Using this to muse openly)

If I had a million dollars, the first thing I would do without hesitation is give to the schools, friends and church I owe the most; the schools need serious money to upgrade facilities and in one case, stay open. Nothing I can give them would pay for the knowledge I received, but a hundred thousand per school would probably help them immensely. I can’t pay my grad school enough for giving me the knowledge to write this, though. It’s rare when you get something from a school that you’ll never forget no matter what, but my grad school gave me many unforgettable things to keep with me.

It’s difficult to relate to your church once you’ve left it, but I owe them for what was given. There would be no music in my life without them. Money doesn’t solve crises of faith, but it should give my friends who are still there more to do missions wise.

I have friends that need to get life started. Approaching 30 and still paying off student loans is no good – I’d definitely step in and pay off the debt for 5 of them.

After that much giving, I hope I would save enough so I could start my own school, and employ some people I think should be teaching and get to the business of making my own contribution to the world.

If I had a million dollars, I would sell my house and sail around the world. I would have lots of money left to help other people.

  33. If I had a million dollars, I would quit my job and become a full time blogger and running an online business from home.

I would use 50% to buy books, and computers to donate to orphanages and give scholarships to poor students in my island. That way they can become educated and learn how to make money themselves.
In the end, I would just buy a playstation 2 for myself and play Resident Evil 4.

  34. If I had a million dollars… I’d pay off my study abroad loans and study all over Western Europe.

  35. “If I had a million dollars I would offer Darren 100,000 to buy his Problogger.net !!”

  36. If I had a million dollars, I wouldn’t need to join Survivor any longer, would I?

  37. If I had a million dollars I would pay off my debts and my extended family’s debts, give a big chunk to my church for their new building project and stash the rest for my kids’ and grandkids’ college funds.

  38. If I had a million dollars, I’d realise my dream to be a writer.

If I had a million dollars…I would start my own fashion label.

  40. If I had a million dollars… I’d buy my mother’s home so that our family always has a soft place to land. I’d pay off all my debts, clear my credit cards, and put aside money for both my kids to go to school. I’d go back to school, too – hell, why not? I’d invest in our business to help it grow. I’d buy a car. I’d calculate how much money I need to set aside to live for at least 10 years and set that aside. I’d travel and take trips, show my kids the world. I’d go to Nunavut by bushplane. I’d buy a cabin on a lake.

  41. If I had a million dollars I would start an endowment fund for my kids and invest the rest.
