Finding RSS Subscribers is something that many bloggers spend a lot of time thinking about – so in this video I thought I’d put together a few thoughts on how to grow your subscriber numbers.

PS: in the post I mentioned some links that might help you to expand upon some of the ideas touched upon in this video. Here they are:
Thanks for the tons of useful information on this site. I have just begun to blog and your site has been a great resource.
I must say, these are some pretty awesome tips for people to apply right away.
you are definetly in and unremovable from my google reader after watching this video :) keep up the good work!
I’ve done all the things you said AND I’ve done a few more. And my RSS count is…not moving. Haha. I think I’m doing something wrong, or the people who read my site think I suck.
Jenny, The reason your count has not moved is probably because your reading to many of these mmo blog like this one, john chow, and shoemoney.
The REAL way to increase subscribers, visitors, and YOUR ULTIMATE GOAL OF MAKING MONEY (DUH!), is to target specific keywords, and get ranked in the search engines for them.
It’s sad to see that so many of these “gurus” do not even mention, building links, and targeting SE traffic. What it boils down to is…if someone is looking for something (product, service, etc) they will go to the SE’s to find it.
Great video Darren, but it’s so easy as it seems. There are many sites that help you create powerfull lists, but definetly your information is very useful.
Thanks for Sahring
Thanks for your great video.. I love it and i will try your tips..
Thanks for sharing.
Very useful post! I think that is important also publication of feed counter into the blog.
If subscribers of feeds are over 1000 and you publish it, you can persuade other persons to subscribe.
I really enjoyed this page about rss feeds. Thanks for the tips Darren
Great post. I never thought of this before. RSS is a powerful method to get lots of subscribers. this is my first time here, and thank you for a wonderful video.
Darren,
Great post. It’s good if we publish full feed of blog but you don’t think it can fill feed in inbox? It can fill complete & long page.
Darren, I always feel like you are truly trying to be helpful to other bloggers. I don’t always get this feeling in the bloggosphere that is bombarded with competitors. So thank you for posts like this, that really help newbie bloggers like myself!
Abbie
I think you should do a four part series on how to get to (1) 500 visitors a day, (2) 1,000, (3) 1,500, and (4) 2,000. What specific things can a blogger do? Most beginners never hope to make pro, full time income, but like the idea of being able to hit 500 visitors per day. That is most bloggers. Speak to that majority.
I agree with Darren on this one(not that i don’t most of the time anyway). Quality content truly is the ultimate key to success in every aspect of blogging. Even if there was another key to get people to visit your site, if they don’t like what’s on there, they will just leave.
Happy Writing!!
I appreciate the great info. I just started a blog and am working on promoting my RSS feed. Didn’t think about putting my RSS feed at the end of my posts. Thanks.
