Win two 20″ LG USB monitors from DisplayLink in the Birthday Bash Giveaway!

problogger-birthday-bash.jpgThis one’s going to be open until 8am (EST) Friday, so you have PLENTY of time to enter, and it’s easy!

Prize Description:

Be one of the FIRST consumers to own not one, but TWO 20-inch FlatronWide L206WU USB-based monitors provided by DisplayLink!

displaylink-logo.jpgThese LG monitors are one of the first USB monitors out in the market powered by DisplayLink technology. DisplayLink believes professional bloggers and web users would really appreciate the ease and convenience of lots of screen real estate so you can spread yourself out and accomplish more and enjoy more. Because these LG monitors use USB, you simply plug the monitors into your laptop or desktop, and start blogging away!

DisplayLink Technology: FlatronWide L206WU USB-based monitors

How To Enter:

This one’s super simple… Spread the word about our little birthday celebration and just write up a post about the ProBlogger Birthday Bash and link to it. Then, come back to THIS post, and leave a comment below with the link to your blog post about the Birthday Bash, and after that link, the word “DisplayLink” (yes, it’s case sensitive, and once again is to help us choose qualifying entries as well as to help us get the valid comments out of Akismet easier).

Example comment:

http://www.yoursite.com/archives/the-post-you-wrote/
DisplayLink

And for those of you who have already linked to the competition, simply place the link where you did it in comments below THIS post like outlined above and you still qualify!

Hopefully this competition will generate a little buzz and add a little value to our sponsors by bringing attention to the competition. Don’t worry – it’s the only giveaway that we’ll ask for a link back to ProBlogger – the rest will be different.

We will once again close off comments and choose one winner at random on Friday at 8am (EST). Winner will be notified by email, and will receive their monitors in 4-6 weeks.

Please note: If you enter for this prize and are chosen as the winner, you will not be eligible to enter for any future giveaways throughout the end of the Birthday Bash (with the exception of the final giveaway on Monday that everyone will be eligible for), so please make sure that you’re either willing to risk missing out on something else or that this was “the big one” you’ve been waiting for (keep in mind that over 700 people entered the first giveaway – so you’re not guaranteed of winning anything – it might be best to enter everything you have some interest in winning). You can always enter on the other posts between now and Friday morning, however if you are chosen for one, you will not be chosen for this one or any others.

Check out the full prize list and our previous giveaways thus far, here, here, and here.

And remember to subscribe to the RSS feed if you haven’t already! Coming this Friday will be several posts that are very time sensitive!

Update

We’ve closed off new entries and the winner of the monitors is Vincent Sparreboom!

Questions is what am i going to do if i do win them – I already have 2 22″ and 2 19″ on my desktop – yes thats right i blog with 4 monitors! see http://www.spyjournal.biz/node/7 for pics
i suppose i could replace the 19’s with the 20’s…
What the heck – random numbers never work in my favour anyway and I don’t mind passing on google juice to a bloke who’s helped me blog better!

    Thanks a lot Darren!

Shall i already throw away my old monitor?

  5. Just wanted to add a comment about this contest.

As I was submitting the my link for the contest, i was noticing the wide variety of blogs listed here. I don’t know if this is what you intended but I see a valuable resource of blogs that should be saved in some manner.

Where else can you find out what type of people read Problogger all in one shot?

    Good stuff

C’mon problogger, you’re better than this! Don’t make us blog off-topic for our own benefit! We gotta put our readers first! It’s one of your cardinal rules!

  7. As I said on my blog…

Anyone who knows me or has read this blog since it started knows I’m a huge fan of ProBlogger and that I promote it regularly, even if I don’t stand a chance of benefiting from doing so. I highly recommend subscribing to ProBlogger’s feed and following that site regularly. It’s been a wealth of useful information for me and I know it will be for you as well.

Sure, this will get some backlinks for ProBlogger and will generate some traffic for the sponsors. Ultimately, it wouldn’t mean jack if ProBlogger wasn’t such a good resource. I may not agree with everything I see here *cough*blogrush*cough*, but overall, I think this site is a good resource. There is nothing wrong with a friendly community competition that just so happens to attract new members to the community. ;-)

That being said, toss my name in the hat for the monitors, please. :-)

Thanks for this opportunity Darren. This is something I could really use in my work.

  9. Not for nothing, but no one’s “making” anyone do anything – if you choose to enter, that’s fantastic – if you choose not to, for whatever reason, that’s okay too.

There are so many creative ways to accomplish this whole thing, if you still don’t want to do it, that’s perfectly fine! There will be plenty of opportunities for people to win that don’t require them to post anything on their sites (we had three of them yesterday in fact!) and there are plenty more to come.

Being that I’m involved in the “working” aspect of this whole project, I can tell you that part of the fun in this whole event is the variety of prizes, the variety of readers, and the variety of ways for people to win something. Winners get chosen at random, prizes and tasks are published in a way that encourages “suspense” which is just really exciting, and as was said above: This gives Darren’s readers an opportunity to discover other blogs they may not have found before.

The concept of this entire thing is fun – Darren’s had fun building up this site over the last three years, and I know that so many people value his hard work and dedication to his readers. This is Darren’s way to give back even more to those who have helped make his site everything that it is, and to celebrate a three year long relationship with one heckuva party!

  10. I have a question about this linking request though, I know Darren is being generous with the sponsors and that’s understandable, but how the sponsors are benefiting with these links? in the few comments I clicked above I only see a link pointing to the first kick off post, that’s that benefit the sponsors on the linking too?
