New ProBlogger podcast and a challenge for PBEVENT
June 29, 2015 By Darren Rowse
Greetings from PBEVENT HQ where we’ve raced past the ‘7 weeks to go’ announcement and are hurtling towards July which is only a hop skip and a jump from the event!
A Challenge to Get You Ready for PBEVENT
Today I wanted to shoot you a short note to let you know about a challenge that I’ve put together that is designed to help you get ready for PBEVENT this year.
It all revolves around the ’31 Days to Build a Better Blog’ (31DBBB) Challenge and it’s completely free to participate in.
Starting on Wednesday (1 July) I’ve put together short daily podcasts that each contain a little bit of teaching and an actionable challenge that you can do that are all designed to help your blog improve.
The podcasts are all between 6 and 20 minutes and most of the challenges are designed to be done in a short time. While the series is based upon the 31DBBB eBook you don’t need to purchase it to participate.
Why are we doing this?
Last year at PBEVENT I spoke with an attendee who told me that for the month before the event she’d worked through the 31DBBB eBook and that it’d helped her to get to the event with a healthier blog and having just had her best month of traffic ever.
It struck me how smart this was. Rather than waiting until the event to get inspired and taking action – this attendee arrived at the event primed and with her blog already firing and the event took her even higher.
I decided to see what doing the challenge at a larger scale as a community might result on – and we’re about to find out!
Note: I’ve purposely started the challenge 6 weeks out for those of you who can’t do this on a daily basis. Do what you can at your own pace. The exercises will be there indefinitely.

Episode 0 that talks about why I’m podcasting and introduces the challenge is already live and the next episode will come out on Wednesday. So listen in to the first episode at on iTunes and subscribe to get future ones.
Lastly – if you have a spare moment I’d HUGELY appreciate it if you would leave a short review and rating of the Podcast on iTunes. It only takes a moment but it helps the podcast get a little more visibility. Thanks to those of you who already have left some very kind words!
Looking forward to a great month of challenges with you!
