NOTE: Photography Workshops in Brisbane and Sydney are now all full. There are still places available in the intermediate workshops Melbourne. Confirmation of places will be emailed out to successful ticket holders.
Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne – here we come! This March we introduce our first ever #PBEVENT East Coast Sessions so you can kickstart the year with some guidance and networking before the main event later this year. As a bonus, attendees will also have the chance to attend photography workshops hosted by Olympus.
About the ProBlogger East Coast Sessions
Even if it’s the only chance you’ll have to attend a ProBlogger event in 2015 you’ll be kickstarting the year the right way with insights from Darren who will be sharing on the challenge facing bloggers of all levels of standing out as a blogger in a crowded blogosphere and building an audience. You’ll take away with you some ideas for key areas of focus for your blog in 2015.
Darren will then introduce a panel of experienced bloggers who will outline some blogging challenges they have faced and then offer you practical tactics on how to overcome them. Real life bloggers, real life examples and plenty of opportunities to ask questions and pose your own challenges.
The sessions in each city run from 11.30am to 2:00pm with 100 tickets available. There are also bonus Olympus photography workshops at 9.30am and 2:00pm (limited to 30 places for each workshop, see details below).
BONUS – Olympus are sponsoring the event with two photography workshops on offer. There are only 30 places available in each. If you would like to attend a workshop please nominate either the beginner or intermediate workshop in the question section of the ticket registration process on Eventbrite. The first 30 nominations for each workshop will receive a place. To be fair to your fellow bloggers, attendees cannot attend more than one photography workshop, thanks!
Olympus Photography Workshop details:
Blog content isn’t just about your writing. Your images can also have important visual impact. We’re excited to have Olympus on board to help you become more familiar with your camera and take amazing photos for your blog. Workshops will be run by Quett Lai – Olympus Product Specialist and National Trainer. Some of you may remember him from the 2014 ProBlogger Training Event. You’re in for a treat!
Beginner course 9.30-11.30am
Get off auto and take great pictures every day.
In this session the team from Olympus will take you through the principles of photography, key settings and functions to help you get on your way to mastering your camera.
To participate in this workshop you do not need to have an Olympus camera, however if you do have one our team will be able to answer any specific questions you may have one on one.
If you don’t have a camera, Olympus will lend you one for the session.
Intermediate course 2.00-4.00pm
Gain the benefits of the manual settings on camera and discover your light meter.
Photography is all about the capture of light and the more controls you have at your disposal to do that, the more amazing your images will be.
To participate in this workshop you do not need to have an Olympus camera, however if you do have one our team will be able to answer any specific questions you may have one on one.
If you don’t have a camera, Olympus will lend you one for the session.

Tickets
Tickets are just $49 for the session, including two catering and networking breaks.
There are only 100 places available in each city due to venue size. A ticket does not automatically include a place in the photography workshops. You will need to nominate a place. Places allocated to the first 30 nominations for each workshop.
