Thursday ‘Accelerator Afternoon’ Add-Ons

Every year at #PBEVENT we ask attendees to complete a survey about our event to give us feedback and make suggestions on how we could make future events better.
Last year a recurring theme from attendees was that they were looking for a forum where they could spend time in a smaller group workshopping different aspects of their blogs.
We’ve listened to that feedback and this year are trialling an Accelerator Afternoon Add-On the day before the full event kicks off – on Thursday 28th August from 12.30-4.30pm.
These workshops are an opportunity for #PBEVENT attendees to work closely with experts and other bloggers in an intensive, intimate setting before our main event.
There are three different add-on workshops to choose from – each is limited to 12 attendees to keep these sessions intimate. If you’re adding one of these sessions onto your #PBEVENT ticket your total price will be $599.
Accelerator Workshops will be available for purchase until sold out on Monday morning at 10.30am.
Note: we’re trialling this format this year and hope to be able offer the experience to a larger number of attendees in 2015.
The Three Accelerator Add-Ons Are
Working with Brands: Laney Galligan and Louisa Claire
A practical workshop designed to help bloggers understand the range of monetisation and other opportunities that can be leveraged through brand partnerships. Be prepared to look beyond giveaways and sponsored posts and start discovering the true value of your influence.
Bloggers Louisa Claire from Brand Meets Blog and Laney Galligan from Agents of Influence will offer perspectives from both sides of successful blogger/brand partnerships, bringing their experience at creating opportunities that are beneficial for brands, bloggers and blog readers.
The session will include:
- An advanced overview of how to approach working with brands
- A one on one review and strategy session on your blog followed by a small group mastermind
- A facilitated session to get you thinking creatively about pitches
At the end of this workshop you will be clear about the specific opportunities you can pursue for engaging creatively with brands that will benefit your blog and audience.
Creating a Product : Shayne Tilley
Are you interested in creating product for sale on your blog? An eBook or an eCourse? No idea where to start or how to market existing products?
This workshop is run by Shayne Tilley, the marketing ninja behind the extraordinary success of the ebooks from Digital Photography School and ProBlogget.net and popular presenter from previous years.
Shayne will guide you through the process of selecting the right product for your brand, how to produce, market and most importantly SELL your chosen product.
The session will be broken into 3 sections:
- how to identify the right product for your audience
- how to create your product within your budget
- how to market your product
By the end of this session you’ll have identified your next steps for creating your blog’s first or next product.
Business Blogging Workshop: Yvonne Adele/The Reach Kit

During this workshop you’ll create a blog strategy to:

- educate your clients and potential clients about your business in an informative and engaging way;
- publish text, video and audio and different length blog posts;
- engage with readers via comments and replies;
- how to cross-reference with your social media platforms;
- bring a high volume of Google search traffic to your website
Each participant will leave with a one-page action plan to ensure swift implementation of their new found blogging skills!
This hands-on workshop is run by Yvonne Adele (aka Ms Megabyte), co-author of www.TheReachKit.com where she and Trevor Young (the PR Warrior) teach business owners all the tricks they have picked up from working with the big guys like Fernwood and JB Hi-Fi. Yvonne has also founded Speaking School – assisting bloggers and experts to accept lucrative speaking engagements and deliver their speech with confidence.
