Panels and 2 Day Schedule for the ProBlogger Training Event 2012

So far this week we’ve announced a variety of keynote speakers for this year’s ProBlogger Training Event – but today I want to turn our attention to some of the panels we’re lining up.
Panels at this years event will all be part of our ‘streamed’ content sessions so if a topic doesn’t appeal there will be another session running on a completely different topic in the next room for you to go to. Again – if you like both sessions you’ll get the recordings to everything so you won’t miss out.
We have a few all locked in and are almost confirmed with panelists for the rest – but here’s what is lined up so far:
- How to Get Brands Knocking on Your Door to work with you (how to work with brands in a Win/Win way) – on this panel is Lorraine Murphy (moderator), Nikki Parkinson, Eden Riley and Mrs Woog.
- Get Paid to Write (how to get paid to write, how to connect with editors and influencers in the publishing industry, how to get a book deal, what editors want in a writer and more): How to Use Your Blog to Build YOUR Brand – on this panel is Valerie Khoo (moderator), Alison Tait and Kerrie Sackville
- Taking a New Blog to Success (hearing from relatively new bloggers about what they’ve learned in growing their blogs): we’re still locking in these panelists but expect to have them announced in the coming day or two.
- New Frontiers of Social Media (how to harness these new mediums to grow your blog): Exploring Pinterest, Instagram and Google+ – we’re almost ready to announce these Panelists – stay tuned!
Open Mic Session: Also this year at our Training Event we’ve scheduled in a ‘Open Mic’ session. I’ll fill you in on what this will be about as we get closer to October but it’ll be a chance for us to hear from the wisdom of our attendees in the room on the day.
We have such a wonderful and diverse blogging community in Australia so I’m looking forward for us to not just present ‘experts’ from the front but to give opportunity for lots of interaction and learning from those attending too.
Schedule
That brings us to the end of our announcements of sessions/speakers for this week. You can now see the preliminary schedule for the two days uploaded to our Schedule page. Please keep in mind though that we’re still months out from the event and I suspect things will change a little as we get closer to the day – treat this as a draft and a guide but expect us to tweak it.
You’ll note a number of TBA sessions still on the schedule. We’re leaving these open for now as there are still a couple of exciting ideas that we’re exploring at the moment that we wanted to leave space for.
On Day 1 we’ve included a Networking Breakfast. This was suggested by many attendees last year who wanted a chance to mingle a little before the event kicked off. Your wish is our command! We’ll be providing food and drinks for this as part of your ticket price.
Also on the evening of the first day you’ll see a ‘networking’ event at 7.30-10.30pm. I’m super excited about this – we’ve booked a great venue and it’ll be a lot of fun. It’ll all be included in your ticket price and a great opportunity for us to mix as a community.
We’ve also started day 2 a little later than day 1… because after the night before we might need the sleep in!
