Problogger Event 2012 Speaker Submissions

We are currently welcoming submissions to present at the Melbourne Problogger Event 2012. The aim of the Problogger Event is to train, educate and inspire bloggers, both new and old.
Blogging continues to grow in Australia as a medium that allows individuals and organizations to find their voice, grow influence and credibility and become more profitable. This event exists to help bloggers to reach their potential.
The day will involve a mix of keynote training presentations, panels with opportunity for Q&A, and time for networking with other bloggers.
In 2012 key focus is on entrepreneurial blogging. Utilising your blog and blogging skills to create revenue streams. Sessions will need to be tailored to suit a range of bloggers from food, fashion, parenting, small business to corporate and we want to cover a wide range of monetisation strategies.
Attendees should be able to leave each session with a list of actions they can implement to improve their blog, expand their readership and develop ways to profit from their expertise.
Things to consider when making your submission:
- Does my topic fit with the core focus for 2012?
- Has it been covered at previous Problogger Events? See here for more information – 2011 and 2010.
- Original ideas will be valued highly, as will twists on key blogging monetisation topics.
- Sessions will run for approx 45 – 60 minutes and will need to include question time. Exact length of session will be advised at a later date.
- We are expecting a high number of submissions, but will only be choosing submissions that we believe will offer a high standard of teaching to attendees and that fit in with program for the day.
- Proposals must be submitted in the speaker’s name and contact details – not from PR companies or agents.
- Sales and product pitches are not allowed in sessions.
- Please reserve the event dates October 12 and 13 in your calendars. With many speakers to schedule it will not be possible to accommodate individual speaker availability.
- Panels must not exceed 3 members. An additional blogger can be had as moderator if desired.
- Only one submission per session is required. You will need to make sure all panellists are aware of the submission and they’re available to speak at Problogger Event 2012. Please do not submit multiple proposals.
- Submissions must be received by 5pm AEDT 2nd March 2012. There will be no late submissions accepted under any circumstance, no matter how dire or heart breaking!
- Successful submissions will be required to forward the presentation pack to Problogger event organisers by 24th September 2012. Failure to do so could see the session being replaced.

You will receive an email within 48 hours to confirm receipt of your submission. We will then let you know the success or otherwise of your submission at the end of March.
We are very excited to see the submissions as we know that the Aussie Blogging Community is full of very talented bloggers!
