Continuing our discussion of things you should be doing right now to improve your blog, today’s tip is:
12. Create a “Best Seller” list based on Amazon Affiliate reports
If you promote products on the Amazon Affiliate program, why not dig into the reports, look at what your readers are buying, and create a “Best Seller” list?
I created one of these on my photography blog, and I update it every six months or so (see it at Popular Digital Cameras and Gear).
I link to it from the front page of my site, and it drives significant income each month in commissions. Read more about Best Seller lists here.
Do you have a Best Seller list on your blog?
Good Tip, It can also be a monthly best sellers or weekly bestsellers, in case products are changing frequently.
This is a great way to increase sales. By having a best seller list, people get to see what most people are buying and hence will at least check them out. This increase the exposure of the products and hence increase the sales :)
Just like a round up post to summarize some great post stumbled during the week :)

That is a great tip, though I have just started using an affiliate program, so I am just starting to notice popular trends.
Since Amazon has stopped its affiliate program in Illinois, I have to find another bookstore. Any suggestions?
My site’s traffic is mostly split UK / US which always makes it difficult to know whether to promote amazon.co.uk or .com or to do both!
I put together my own plugin which allows me to lookup products via their API and list products from multiple countries alongside each other but even this doesn’t seem ideal.
It would be nice if Amazon were able to handle internationalisation themselves. I guess DPS is mostly US?
I have been an affiliate marketer for several years now and I have never promoted Amazon products…that’s about to change. Some great tips here. Thanks!
