A couple of days back I tweeted this question:

Over the next hour or two a lot of great responses came in – so I thought I’d post a link to them today because I think in the midst of them is a lot of wisdom. Short paragraphs, bold font to separate ideas, starting the post off with a question, and definitely “knowing” what you’re talking about. #1 rule of thumb – know what you know and share it with the world…
How To’s and List Posts are very popular
Walls of text are bad, include a picture to break it up.
Be witty, sharp and inviting.
Be focus,Persistent,Determine,Creative,Generous.

I would add… have thick skin.
Use short sentences! Schedule posts for 00:01 each day. I’ve been posting one new photo a month to my blog this month by scheduling.
Be consistent and constant & you’ll build an audience of raving fans.
Have an end goal that each post is building towards.
QUALITY AND QUANTITY
Name the blog post “how to,” then follow through with clear advice. And point out the benefits.
