Chris writes a useful review of the AdSense Statistics package AdSense Gold (aff link) which is a package I’ve considered purchasing for a while now. The tracker gives you a whole new level of AdSense statistics. He writes:
‘Using this script I found out that all the clicks on one of my sites was coming from the homepage. This is not common across my sites, most of them have high performing content pages. Discovering what it was that was causing this anomaly paid back the price of the script on its own.’
Chris is a smart guy so this is a recommendation worth taking seriously if you’re thirsting for a little more information on your AdSense.

I’ve been using it for over a year now and I find it invaluable. It tracks Google and Yahoo ads and search. Great for finding where the link came from, what ad they clicked on, what page the clicked on and so much more.
Anyway, I’m a happy user. It doesn’t track RSS ads yet but I bet it will because he always updates it.

While this might be a good product, the page for it looks pretty “cheesy”… Looks like a lame TV Ad…
I’ve been using AdSense Gold for quite a while, about a year and a half. I couldn’t live without it anymore. The latest release tracks YPN clicks also. It gives a heck of a lot more information than channels, and it’s instantaneous, no waiting hours or until the next day to see the information.
The report about how to maximize your earnings was very helpful to me also, the high paying keywords didn’t do much for me personally.

Can this be used for as many domains as you want?

Yea, I was going to buy it right away until I saw that terrible webpage. It’s what I call a scum bag page. Gives sales a bad name.
Its also not usable. Unless you want to read his whole pitch I can’t find anything. I’ve looked twice for the demo and still can’t find it.
Does it work on cookies?
I just detest the cheesy advertising of this. Asrep (a similar product that I have used and reviewed) has a much more professional site – this Adsense Gold stuff makes Joel Comm look conservative.
This kind of tracking can be valuable, but if I didn’t know that already, and just went to the AG site, I’d conclude that since everything else on the page is snake oil, this must be too.
Too bad. It’s a big turn off. I’d buy it just to review it against Asrep, but it’s just too scammy looking for me – I’d be ashamed to reference it from my site.

I don’t use it currently, for a few reasons: first, it really didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know, and it didn’t tell me much more than intelligently applied channels and web log analysis provides me, but it did suck up an impressive amount of disk space and measurably affected performance. A smaller or less active site wouldn’t have that problem, of course.
As Google has said over and over that this kind of tracking is AOK with them, why the heck won’t they give us this kind of reporting themselves? Heck, I’d gladly PAY them for better reporting. Why are they so stubborn about this? Any guesses?
I have it installed in one domain, and track all my domains, even those on other servers (I have one dedicated server, and some domains on a couple different shared servers, no problem at all). It’s just 1 line of javascript, refer it to the same url every time.
It uses MySQL to store the data, so you have to have that support.
As far as finding the demo page, just go to adsensegold.com, then do a CTRL-F (find), type in working demo, and it will go straight there to the link.
The homepage for the product is disgusting I quite agree. If it wasn’t for the fact I had it recommended to ME I would never have used it or recommended it. Thing is the product is based on code created at the webmasterworld community so there are lots of variations out there, you don’t need to purchase this particular one. Ignore the bonus gifts too, just look at the product itself.
Is it true that it doesn’t track Firefox clicks, only the ones made with IE?
Apparently. The google analytics solution supposedly does work with ff but only counts clicks so I stuck with this one.
Not good, then, as my blogs (especially the technology ones) have a lot of Firefox users (including myself) – more than 50%, in some of them.
Funny thing: I use Firefox, and recommend it to everyone; yet, it’s the IE users, who don’t even know what a “browser” is, much less an ad blocker, who are more likely to click on ads…
I strongly recommend using a free adsense statistical package before you start shelling out a hundred bucks for a “really really good one.” I’ve never used Adsense Gold, from the reviews it sounds like a very good package, however, I do know that I use a free WordPress plugin that gives me information on who clicks on a Google Ad and where that user was referred from (the two most important pieces of information anyway), among other choice bits of info.

If you use it and find you want a more poweful stats package, then give Adsense Gold a try and you’ll be able to truly take advantage of their 60 day trial period and know what they do better than other packages.

Hoping someone can help me here. I started using AdsenseGold today- and am definitely a fan so far.
However. I really need to track the original referrer & keywords for visitors, so I can see what terms lead to clicks. AdSenseGold only allows you to see the page the user was on before the page they click on.
Does anyone know if any of the other solutions offer this option. The Analytics hack – http://www.seobook.com/archives/001370.shtml – worked great until it stopped working a couple days ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I doubled my CTR on one blog. It’s amazing.
I’ve read reviews, seen the webpage, compared it with others, and the one overiding factor which seemd to set it head and shoulders over other Adsense tracking scripts, (and Adsense reporting itself), is that it will tell you which ads were clicked on – is this correct?
And – are there any other (FREE!) acipts which do the same?

How on earth can this software really help a webmaster create more revenue from adsense. All the reviews are just praising its analytic reporting but the real meat ‘suggested’ from these reviews is a total red herring.
You could only focus the best ads for the top viewed and clicked pages IF you had a fixed ad inventory to choose from. Lets not forget adsense changes the ads nearly on every pageview, so the visitor will only click on those of interest presented to him during his viewing session. Latter views by other may have ads that spark no interest for a click.
This is such an important point and is really not being addressed by anyone!
I have been thinking about buy adsense gold. I definately need some direction. I had a website for a few months now, and I’ve only made 5.00. :( It’s an online shopping mall. haven’t made any money from that. I thinks I need to redo my whole website. I’ve seen ads for adsense video, has any bought that, does it work? he claims to let you watch over his shoulder and show you how he makes 19,000 a month. I wonder if these people are just making money onthe sales of their books, rather than adsense. There is so much out there, I think people are getting rich on claiming to help people get rich with adsense, one thing I did nothice on the adsense video website, was that all the testimonials on the site, i checked out their websites, and they didn’t even have adsesne on their site, they were just trying to sell something too! it seemed very supiscious to me. Any out there bought the videos?

Mirasaza, these testimonials are solicited directly by the webmaster in exchange for exposure for their websites and are mostly affiliates for the product. I don’t believe anyone would really give such heart-felt recommendations for any product. (have you ever done this, or know someone who is so exited by a product they would give their name and personal photo?)
The adsense videos are only good if you are a complete newbie on the subject and want access to guidance in one place. Most if not all can be had for free from the Google help center and on the web. It’s the same as the ‘AdSense Secrets’ type ebooks that sell for $97.00 – they all present the same advice, just packaged differently.
Also, if you visit the sites these folks are supposedly making a ton of cash from, you can see how clicks are being created. I personally wouldn’t layout my site like those, as a visitor, I find it confusing as to where the actual content is.
But….. the software gives you what Google Adsense can’t give you – the info on which Google Adsense ads were clicked on.
That is the most important piece of information of all.

oh, I have a tip, I signed up with a SEO, engineseeker.com they called me from something I filled out online, high pressure sales… I signed up hoping for the best. I cancelled after 1 month. I didn’t get a single bit of traffic from them.

just thought it was interesting…I noticed at the top of one of the blogging pages on this site is an ad for the videos I was talking about. mIchael cheneys. I’ve decided, he doesn’t make any money from adsense, he must make a ton from selling his videos though, he advertises it everywhere. I must admit, they seem pretty enticing, but not a single one of his testimonials have adsense on their websites, seems fishy to me.

I agree with Nathan, pcunix and Chris. adsensegold.com webpage is terrible, exactly a “scum bag page”. Usually such layout is used for “getting easy money”, “Finding God”, “Solve your family problems”. I also cannot find the demo; in the case I need to give my email to see the demo, I am sure the tool is not suitable for me.
