Which Social Media Sites Would You Use if You Could Only use 3?

Posted By Darren Rowse 7th of June 2008 Reader Questions 0 Comments

Here’s a question for the weekend that was submitted to me from Twitter friend philbaumann who asks:

if you were permitted only 3 social sites to work with, which ones would you pick?

So it’s over to you for your comments.

Which would you choose (be it social bookmarking sites like Digg, StumbleUpon or Reddit, or social networking sites like Facebook or MySpace or Social Messaging/Micro Blogging sites like Twitter or Plurk) – and WHY do you choose the ones you choose?

  1. Twitter, Watvindenwijover.nl (Dutch social bookmarking site) & Flickr. Why? Friends at Twitter, knowledge at WVWO and my images/life at Flickr.

  2. I would go with Stumbleupon , Digg and Twitter, Digg would definitely be first. Stunbleupon is great too, sometimes it can bring more traffic than Digg it all depends where you involve more.

  3. Stumble Upon, Delicious and Blogcatalog

  4. StumbleUpon, Digg, and deviantART are the only ones I use regularly.

  5. There are a lots of social media sites that are doing well but some are stunning these are Delicious , Raddik , Fliker , Digg ,
Mixx etc most people usually used StumbleUpon Delicious and Digg.

  6. It looks like Stumble upon is the most popular. I use Myspace because of all my friends on there from back in the day when Myspace was IT as far as social media.

I use facebook now because of a new group of friends and I use linkedin for professional contacts.

Twitter is something I am trying to make work so it can’t be on my list of 3.

  7. Although it very heard to decide with social media website is best for you. I my opinion Digg, Reddit and stumbleupon are best website. As they are very user friendly and gives you very good links with high PR and direct link to blogs. But that doesn’t mean that we leave all the other social media website. Other are also useful as these one, but they have more data then other.
