On the Today Show…. Tomorrow

Posted By Darren Rowse 8th of November 2005 ProBlogger Site News 0 Comments

MastheadAussie readers out there that get up early in the morning might like to turn on their televisions to channel 9 at around 6.45am tomorrow where they might just see a familiar (and bleary eyed) face being interviewed on the Today show about blogging.

Lucky I didn’t get the 6am spot!

  • Dude, you gotta get a copy of the interview and post it on your site as an .mpg or something.

Think of the elevation in your already ivory towerish status in the blogosphere ;-)

  • LOL – we’ll see how it goes Paul :-)

  • Rebecca

haha how did you score that gig?
    I’ll be watching

  • Luke

    speechless. good luck.

  • Luke – ‘speechless’ – yeah – lets hope that’s not me tomorrow morning. I might have to get up early to have an extra coffee.

Rebecca – got a call from their producer late this afternoon. The interview is a follow up to an article in the Financial Review today about business blogging.

  • i’ll be watching too, darren

    good luck!

  • Well done Darren! Now, do you want our URLs on a large card, or will you remember them all? :D

  • Don’t forget it’s on WIN as well for us country folks.

  • That’s right in the middle of my sleep cycle so I expect a nice video file download please Darren.

Perhaps even if you record it with one of those digital cameras I know you have…

  • Great stuff Darren getting on mainstream TV like that. Make us bloggers proud ;-)

I’ll definitely be watching … good luck

  • I’m tempted to record it on my PVR when put it on the internet but I’m not sure Kerry Packer would be very pleased given copywrite issues….then again it might fall under fair use?

  • Darren, Please, please, please capture and it put on the internet somewhere. I would be happy to host it on one of my sites if you want.

Hope you are not too nervous!

  • Duncan, it would be legal. The Political Teen does it all the time.

  • Once you do get the video, make a bit torrent out of the video, so you don’t kill your bandwidth.

  • Congratulations Darren!

    You’ll do fine…just picture everyone naked :)

  • Congrats. :)

  • This is so cool! I’m from Singapore so I’ll love a video too!

  • Congratulations!

Is there any chance it will be shown in the United States?

  • Not bad!

I think the curly question was the vague copyright/ownership one. I wonder if they were digging more for tidbits on blogging anonymously?

  • Good Luck and don’t worry, I can’t imagine you being speechless! You are a fountain of information. But – just in case – remember to have a pad of paper and your list of buzzwords next to you to talk about.. e.g.
    you ..
    your blogs ..
    your network ..
purple mayonaisse .. (it would be nice to see if you can make something up – like did – on live T.V. and have it become the next blogging craze buzzword)

.. Oh – and don’t forget to wear that outfit to match the Ad on Duncan’s page :-) it’s a hoot.

  • short – sweet and to the point.

    well done

  • Woot! Congratulations, Darren! You’re quickly becoming Australia’s answer to Jason Calacanis.

  • Tom

It would be interesting to see it if you can possibly get it as an mpg

  • Just saw the interview on ninemsn’s site. Great stuff Darren! Sitting at home “playing on the computer all day” just took another step forward towards being socially acceptable.

For those wanting to see it, go to here and search their videos for “blogger”. Unfortunately, you’ll have to use IE to do it. Stupid MS corporate shills.
