Join the Third Tribe Before the Price Changes

Posted By Darren Rowse 26th of May 2010 Pro Blogging News 0 Comments

If you’re struggling to find your place in this internet marketing game and feel torn between the hype and obnoxious tactics of some of the traditional internet marketers and the ideals, principles and yet lack of profitability of many of the social media purists… you just might want to check out The Third Tribe.

Third Tribe was designed as a place for those who see themselves as internet entrepreneurs who want to embrace and learn from different types of internet marketers – yet who don’t want to abandon their principles, ethics and sell their souls along the journey.

Two weeks back I posted an update on the Third Tribe and hinted that now was a great time to join as the price would probably be raised in the coming month – on 1 June, the price will rise so this is your last chance to get in at the current level.

The reason for the price rise is simple – since launching we’ve added 10 hours of seminar content and a further 10 hours of other kinds of content including twice monthly Q&A calls. The value that you get out of the archives on day 1 of joining (currently for just $47) has risen – and so will the price if you don’t lock in at the current one.

Seminars already in the archives are:

  • Product Launch Strategies: What Always Works and What’s Working in 2010
    Jeff Walker & Sonia Simone
  • How to Get Your Customers to Do Your Best Marketing for You
    John Jantsch & Chris Brogan
  • Email Marketing Strategies that Work
    Sonia Simone & Brian Clark
  • Action Email: Copywriting Tips for Insanely Effective Email Marketing
    Dave Navarro & Sonia Simone
  • Internet Business Models: Part One – the Problogger model
    Darren Rowse & Brian Clark
  • Internet Business Models: Part Two – the Chris Brogan model
    Chris Brogan & Sonia Simone
  • Internet Business Models: Part Three – the Copyblogger model
    Brian Clark & Sonia Simone
  • Internet Business Models: Part Four – the Zen Habits model
    Leo Babauta & Darren Rowse
  • The Quick Start Guide to Making Money Online
    Johnny Truant & Sonia Simone
  • Advanced Affiliate Marketing with Social Media and SEO
    Brian Clark & Glenn Allsopp

You can get a lot fuller descriptions of the sessions and see the back story on why Brian Clark, Chris Brogan, Sonia Simone and myself started this project on the Third Tribe Site – so check them out.

Of course on top of the content is the community of Third Tribe. With thousands of members coming from a diverse back ground of online disciplines the forum area is a treasure trove of information, knowledge and potential collaborations.

Currently you get all of that plus recordings of the Q&A sessions the minute you subscribe for just $47. You’ve got no obligation to continue your membership after month 1 but if you do you can rest assured in the knowledge that you’re locked in at the current monthly price and won’t pay any more even after the price rise.

If you’ve been thinking about giving Third Tribe a go – it’s a great time to join us! I hope to see you on the inside!

Thank you for the heads up, Darren. I think even $47 seems intimidating at first, but in the long run it surely pays off – if people are motivated enough to follow through that is.

  • Even though I was on a call, I pay the monthly fee personally and highly recommend the site to anyone who needs a push in the right direction.

The community at the 3T is one of the most dedicated and helpful that I’ve seen anywhere online and they’ll help with any of your queries.

  • Thank you for sharing. Pesonally, I always appreciate when someone advises me to try something totally different to what we all know and see. It means that they are like opening another path for us to try instead of wasting our energies trying the same way, without giving other options the chance.

  • Joe

    $47 per month, or 1-time?

  • Joe

Yikes Darren! With the availability of free webinars, and free and abundant information, $49 per month seems rather expensive to me.

  • Joe

Joe, I surprised that someone in the real estate business would think $47 a month is expensive. I know realtors who pay that much for a single networking breakfast each month.

The funny thing is, I built a lucrative web-based real estate brokerage back in 2002. I could tell you things that would be worth $47,000 in real revenue, if not more. That’s a decent ROI, huh? :)

Some people may want to spend the time digging through the free stuff and figuring it out for themselves. Nothing wrong with that. But some are happy to pay $47 to get direct answers based on real experience.

  • Joe

Actually, $49 per month isn’t expensive. Funny thing, I thought about my comment and wanted to retract it or change it. We spend money all the time for training, and if $49 brings a commission check to us, then it’s worth it. :)

  • I’ve made some awesome connections within paid memberships, it seems to be a quicker way to get ahead. Time is money ;]

  • I am one of the third tribe members and although I had hesitated to join at first (due to the $47 or so, a month) I now see the value in keeping it going.

I unfortunately, do not participate in the forums as much as I should, however, I always listen to the seminars and there is a lot of great content there. If nothing else, it exposes me to new concepts and helps get the creative juices flowing.

Plus, the few times I have asked for some input or help in the forums I have always received fantastic advice and help. Everyone seems very keen to be supportive which can sometimes be priceless especially for a small business owner like myself.

My recommendation is to get on board before the price goes up!

  • Joe

Are there webinars as part of the membership? If so, how often, and are they recorded?

  • Joe, there are tele seminars and live Q&A sessions at least once a month (for each). I think they promise once a month but they produce them much more often than that. They’ve pulled in everyone who is anyone in the non-obnoxious Internet Marketing scene alread(Jeff Walker, Leo Babauta, Dave Navarro), and all of these people are incredibly generous with their tips and tricks.

I liken it to a master class with a virtuoso musician. You’re talking with people who are actually *doing* not just teaching.

But that’s only half of it. The forums are really awesome. Everyone is serious (but not poe-faced) and understands that helping each other is never a bad thing. I’ve already learned more than my head can hold some days, and I’ve started making money from Third Tribe lessons and connections.

I’ll admit, I’m a frugal kind of gal, but I never resent seeing my Third Tribe Membership payment come out of my account. (The gym that I’m not using, on the other hand…)

OK, I’m creeping myself out a little with how enthusiastic I sound. Stepping off now…

  • I think when you consider the value of all of the seminars you get up front, plus the fact that it is a spam / troll free community of people who are all have similar goals in a variety of different industries / niches, it is a great deal to get to connect with them and have help from all sides. I have connected with many members on social networks outside of the forum as well, which proves it is a great networking opportunity.

  • Don’t you just hate those “obnoxious” marketers always trying to get you to join expensive programs.
