This week’s poll is one we’ve done before – it will be interesting to compare the results. The question is:
Last month, how much did you make from Adsense?
By ‘Adsense’ I mean all Adsense earnings including referrals, search earnings, RSS ads, Adlink Ads and in Content ads.
To get your total log into your Adsense account, hit the ‘My Account’ Tab. Then hit ‘Payment History’ and look for your ‘earnings’ figure.
If you’d like to comment on this poll do so in comments below. If you’d like to do so anonymously leave a fake email address – I understand that many publishers do not wish to put names to their figures so am happy for this.
It’ll be interesting to see what the average ProBlogger reader earns from Adsense. We’ll run a similar poll in the coming weeks looking at a couple of other ad programs.
update: This poll I’ve added one extra category that I didn’t have last time I asked this question – it’s the under $10 category. I’ve done this because last time the lowest category was ‘under $30’ so I thought this might shed a little more light on what the make up of this group was. Otherwise the categories are exactly the same. It’s not meant as a technical or scientific poll – but rather to give us an idea of what bloggers are earning using this tool.
I get around 400 hits a day. But never made more than 30$ in a month.
I dont know how to improve it though :)

Well I enjoyed reading everyone else’s replies. I started with adsense in Oct. ’06 and made $22 the first month – so no payment – )-:
The 2nd month I made $90 dollars so I got that and the rollover from the previous month.
Since then I have been getting at least the $100 minimum every month so I get a payment every month so far. I hate when my earnings see-saw – It makes me crazy.
I also find it encouraging that one can make good earnings with just one blog.
My goal? $1 Million Dollars at least one month and then $5K each month!
$9.78 last month only 28c short of breaking the $10 a month barrier.
Today 17 August I am at $8.58. Am definetly going to break that barrie this month and then from then onward Who Knows?
I’ve only earned a couple of dollars so far. My site is fairly new so I’m not sure if thats normal or not. Page impressions are on the rise (I got something like 168 yesterday with 1 click, and just above 100 today with no clicks). I’m not sure if my placement is right. I’ll provide a link and any suggestions would be much appreciated as I’m pretty new at this.

My brother and I made our site to teach guitar , drums and bass……. we make about 10 dollars a week …… and thats really trying by posting links all over the internet ……. we get about 100 hits a day on a good day……. our goal is to get 4 to 5 thousand hits a day …….. its hard to get it going but once you do it will be worth it ;]
I’m on 135$ (a day)
Keep on trying and btw it has nothing to do with content – it is all about confusing both search engine and web site visitors…
Not to sound like a total idiot – I feel your pain – I’ve been there and it wasn’t pleasant; Please do communicate with the fellow scammers – BEST ideas I’ve got were from the very tight group of “e-commerce” buddies (1 white hat supporting his brick&mortar business, 1 grey hat myself and 1 black hat pro Seo spammer)
good luck and happy link spamming :)
I just started and have earned only $1.28. I hope to earn much more from a forum am creating.
mile, what are you talking about? I don’t see AdSense on any of your pages.
I make 10K+ a month from a 10 years old website dedicated to programmers and developers.
I make $100 a day using Adsense… Now to tell you the truth making money off the internet is being really lucky. I’m an average guy, only 14 years old (ALWAYS start making money at the youngest age possible), and I was on vacation last summer (2007). At that time I was 13 years old. My uncle and my dad would keep talking about making money in several ways. I then got greedy for money. First I was attracted to the internet, then I looked at the structures of other websites and thought about it… I learned that you could make money from ads. Then I had an epiphany. No, I won’t tell you what my idea was but I knew it would be a killer. It wouldn’t be as pop as Youtube but I knew it would be a big hit.. I would make a blog. Not just any blog like the usual (games, tv, cell phones, cars, etc.) So I went to blogger and I bought a domain for $10 a year for my blog (great deal, with free hosting and pre-designed blog). It took a week of full hard work to design my blog and get it started. I started advertising by telling my friends, going to downtown and leaving flyers on walls and shopping malls about my website, then its own merit advertised itself. I also put my website on dmoz. After a year, it’s really gone good. Trust me, if I hadn’t gotten that epiphany over vacation, i wouldn’t have gotten where i am now. True Luck. But if you are very creative and funny you can also get the gold.
Well I must say that if you are 14 I am so jealous but you will probably spend it on candy and your teeth will fall out so that makes me feel better. That aside, I decided to create a blog today for no other reason than creating what I call a glorified diary. Then I found adsense and have been researching it since. It seems that if you have the time and effort and you do it on a large scale, that you should be able to make decent money from it, certainly hearing what people here have to say shows it can be done – either with hard work, Luck or a great entertaining idea.
When I first started using adsense, I was happy when I broke the $2 per month mark. These days, I make $70 per month and it just keeps increasing month after month even if two of my ad slots is replaced with a paid advertiser. I never thought that oneday I’d be receiving $200 checks from google.
I just launched 3 new blogs and I hope to be making $500 per month by the end of this year from all my blogs. When I reach the $2000 per month mark, I’ll be quiting my day job.
Well i don’t even use adsense lol… but i think my website is pretty good.
i will be using adsense tho

Would love to start using Adsense, but I think it makes sense to build up a readership before jumping in for two or three dollars a month
I added Adsense to my Site 2 weeks ago, and Im not making more that $0.30 a day… What is wrong???
This is my site: http://www.trulyiphone.com
Good luck!
