Darren, thanks so much for this project! Here I’ve ended up spending my entire morning with ProBlogger, again… ;-) I read through all of the submissions, and commented on several. I’m running off to school for a puppet show by the Kindergarden (last week of school!!!), but I have some quick comments, as a reviewer; as an old blogger learning new tricks; and having learned a heck of a lot this morning, just in going through the submissions above — the posts themselves, and also visiting all the different blogs:
1) Love when there’s a picture of the blogger on the site – makes it more personal, better ‘conversation’!
2) Appreciate lists or bullets – more visual appeal, easier to read.
3) Admire bloggers who find the balance between including themselves in their writing, but not making it ALL about them – giving us a glimpse, the ability to get to know someone, without self-centered ramblings. Aaron Brazell was particularly great at this in his post above.
4) Admire all the people above for their willingness to put themselves out there.
5) Easy ability to comment & interact.
6) Oh, and HUMOR — thank you!
Please don’t visit me and expect all (or any) of these things on my Rebel blogs just yet — I’m still learning!! ;-)
Thanks to all–
Live, Love & Laugh,
Sherri
