Business Blog Survey

Posted By Rachel 10th of June 2005 Business Blogging 0 Comments

Hi everyone, I’ve been asked to see if I can get feedback on these questions by anyone who is involved with business blogging for a magazine article on business and blogging (as inspired by this article) – so I thought I’d throw these out as a Friday survey (yes, it’s Friday here in NZ and Australia!).

  1. What is the name and address of your business blog?
  2. What is the business it relates to? Are you the owner or an employee?
  3. Why and when did you start your blog? Did you model it on anyone else’s?
  4. What’s the payoff in doing it?
  5. How often do you post to your blog?
  6. Is the content strictly business, or do you let a little of your personal life in?
  7. Does the content focus on your business itself, or on issues of interest for the business sector you’re in?
  8. How do you relate to your fellow bloggers?
  9. Is it important to present as a real human being, rather than simply a company name?
  10. Who are your readers? How many of them are there? Do you communicate with them by any other means apart from the blog itself?
  11. Any other thoughts about business blogging? Is it important? Should more people be doing it?

Should be interesting to us all too!

  1. magazine only? i have business blog for my business, not for a mag?

  2. oh bugger it! if its not applicable you guest bloggers can delete it!

    1. Journey to success Blog http://www.parttimeincome.org/Blog
    2. Business relates to setting up Distribution Networks, i am the owner of my business
    3. I started the Blog as to allows prospects to become familiar with me and learn about me and to add personality to the business
    4. Build trust/relationships with customers/prospects to further enhance business and lead to ongoing joint ventures
    5. every few days
    6. Personal and business. Most important for me.
    7. I try not to focus on the business itself but the issues related to the business. ie: success, motivation, networking etc.
    8. reading other blogs, subscription to bloglines
    9. real human being
    10. Readers, 10 a day, i think, some communication via email, not quantified!
    11. I think its important as Business is about building relationships and blogging is a great way to build to do so!

  3. Sorry – to clarify – it’s about any business blogging but the article itself will appear in a magazine :)

  4. Growth Strategy Blog
We are a pay for performance advertsing agency. We set up people with business blogs and manage their advertsing campaigns.
It builds current content into the site.
I keep a reccord of ideas, thoughts etc..
    Every week
Yes, I put a bit of personal life in. But not enough.
    We don’t hate eachother.
Small business owners. 50-60. Email Newsletters.
Yes..as a consumer, I try to find businesses that blog. I’m starting to feel uncomfortable with those that don’t. More businesses should blog because it’s one protective measure against competitive threats.
