Is anyone else having issues with Bloglines today? I logged on this morning only to find that I could not access it at all. I thought maybe they were having issues and waited an hour or two only to find it still timing out. Now 10 hours later I’m still without it and starting to get a little edgy about it as I know others on my IM lists can see the site. My ISP says it must be a computer problem, but I’m not sure about that as I’ve done nothing to it since last night when I could access the site fine. Very strange.
I’m not sure what I’d do without Bloglines – I currently track 300+ feeds on it, it provides me with the content for my blogs, which my business revolves around. Maybe I’ll have to find a new news reader – anyone got any suggestions of one that works well with a Mac?
Update – Still no luck with Bloglines – its been 19 hours and counting. At least I’m not alone though.
Update II – We’re back online with Bloglines – phew….I think I might back up the feeds I follow – the threat of losing them has left me realising the importance of that list of sources – its actually an asset!
Bloglines mentioned they would have about half an hour of downtime today for a system upgrade. I didn’t notice it, and I haven’t had any problems with the service.
Sorry to hear you had trouble. Hopefully it clears up, as Bloglines really is a nice aggregator.
I also haven’t been able to receive the atom feed from my own site for about four days. I think when Bloglines was restored, it seems everything was, thank God.
For what it’s worth, I’m in the same boat. I can’t get to Bloglines for about 24 hours now. Is your ISP RCN by any chance?
Try going to http://216.148.212.183/ instead of http://www.bloglines.com. It’s a DNS problem for me, but the number works.
It has been working fine for me…haven’t had any outages at all.
Don’t feel bad. I’m new to weblogging and just when I was starting to get into it the Chinese govt. blocked my access to the site. My friends in the States have told me that they can open it just fine…too bad I can’t. Arrrrgggggghhhhhhh
NOw I am on the hunt for a real blog hosting site. If you have any tips, drop them.

hey darren, i use mozilla’s thunderbird email client and it has a built in newsreader. i like it. hope that helps.
