The second edition of the ProBlogger book (hard cover) came out earlier this year and enjoyed some great reviews (you can read what was new in the second edition here).
It also came out in a Kindle version at the same time, but in the last few months another version was released: the audio version.
At the time it was released, I was traveling, so I put off posting about it (and then promptly forgot to do so). So here’s my belated launch post!
The audio version wasn’t heard by either Chris or myself (it’s a little strange hearing someone else tell your own story in the first person) but I suspect the guy reading it does so in a clearer voice than either Chris and I could manage with our crazy accents!
I know that many of you learn more effectively by hearing than reading, so if you’ve not yet read the book, you can grab the audio copy here and listen to it on your iPod, on your computer, or in your car.
Enjoy!
This is wonderful–I just became an affiliate for your 31 Days book and just yesterday signed up for being an Amazon Affiliate yesterday! So glad I will be able to offer your products as I have just launched a successful Blog Advertising Consultation service myself and love that I can recommend quality products that ProBlogger has to offer—THANKS SO MUCH!
Awesome. That too an Audio version of your 2nd book. Hope I can save enough to buy the audio version :P
Darren, can you share a little bit about getting your book into these other formats? What did you have to do to get a Kindle and audio format made?
Bought it from Audible a while and go and it is Q’d up to go.
Thanks Darren.
BTW – there’s something funky with the Networked blogs link. Even after submitting a comment and reloading the page, it was showing 0 comments (granted, mine went into moderation), but there were already 2 comments visisble when I commented. Or perhaps it’s a WP caching function, considering the comments showed after the form submit but not after reload (possible pulling up the cached version, which would not make sense on a form submit).
Very interested in the audio version. Yet another great example of diversifying income streams in order to make money from different areas and ideas.
Doug – I didn’t really have to do anything. Wiley (our publisher) did it all. This is a bit different to my eBooks in that it is a proper hard cover one with a proper book deal/contract.
Not sure what that bug was with the networkedblogs link – will look into it.
Are the contents of the hardcover and the audio version exactly the same, like the content of the book just being read out to the listener? I’d rather have the hardover version though.
Wade – yes they’re the same, just a different medium.
Mike – no it’s just a downloadable file not a CD.
great stuff! Does this come in a CD format?
Hi Darren!,
Got the book last week from “amazon”, top read… It’s a bit like the “Crush It” book by Gary Vaynerchuk in the way that I keep going back to sections to read over it again for my site!…
Top Stuff!…
David Edwards.
Thank you for your sharing Darren. This is a great stuff.
Hi Darren,
I read your second book and I must say it is just wonderful. Since I have the hard cover with me, I am not gonna get this Audio version, but I am sure this will be helpful for lot of people.

Hey Darren,
That’s to bad that you aren’t the one who’s telling the story – I’ve kind of gotten used to hearing the way you give us tips and information. You have a good voice for it.
I used to do sales, and people would tell me that because of my voice and the way I talk, I could sell ice to eskimos. You have that type of voice too.
Anyway, can’t wait to hear it…
Take care,
Brian M Connole

Hi Darren,
That is a great idea to put your book into audio format. The more options in terms of mediums available. The more people you are going to help. I have yet to venture into audio but I do know that using visual, verbal, written and physical activities in my workshops help connect with people and make learning go deeper.
Enjoy a wonderful day,
David
Ok,i know it’s you Darren who has posted this release, your idea are always interesting and charming, thanks a lot Darren
