There’s a lot of sadness over at Threadwatch today with Nick Wilson announcing it’s sale and him leaving the site. He’s doing so to give more time to the new company that he’s a part of starting, Performancing. The new owner of Threadwatch is Aaron Wall from SEOBook.
There was no mention of what the sale went for in terms of dollar value – but I suspect this is less about the money and more about freeing up time for the Performancing start up.
Best of luck Nick and Aaron.
I think this shows that people serious in the web publishing game need to concentrate their efforts to do an outstanding job and not spread themselves too thin on many projects to be succesful. Threadwatch has grown into a great resource in a VERY crowded market in just over a year with Nick’s commitment and I’m sure he’ll give performancing.com a good shake.
Sad news regarding this sale. I really love reading TW but, SEOBook also great. I’m looking forward to see a different TW.
BTW Darren, did you notice when you type problogger in Google, an Adwords publisher actually bid on the word?
