Kept putting off buying Genesis for lack of time. Just put it on my calendar for this weekend.
I think that StudioPress themes look amazing (I haven’t used them.) They are spendyish that’s for sure.
But the main thing is that if you’re not ready to spend a little money on your blog design, then you probably are not serious enough about blogging to achieve any kind of real success.
Get serious about blogging, pay for a good theme that you have researched, and stick to a schedule.

Not that me saying anything means anything when you have a Blog Guru like Darren telling you they are good, but they are good! The themes are very quickly updated to work with latest WordPress features (so if your looking forward to 3.1 Post types as I am, you know it will work).

The themes are excellent but they are only for wordpress 3.0+. I have my blog running version =3.0 version as I am not sure what will happen.
The 3.0+ means that it requires at a minimum WordPress 3.0 and/or above. If you have 3.0, you’ll be just fine. :-)

Look at it this way: if you don’t appreciate your content enough to present it with the best theme possible, then your content probably isn’t worth it.

Note that it seems that you need to purchase additional themes as well as the genesis framework.
The suggested “Sample Child Theme” is really only a starting point and will require customisation if you want something prettier.
The Genesis+Prose package ($80 – $20 for the discount = $60) comes with design controls, so you can quickly make those mods without editing code.
Been looking at it last night, but it’s strange how they show nothing but the demo theme. Does it have an admin panel? What’s it like? I find the page very lacking of information.
