  1. I’ll never make it on that list because I’m too restless. I’ve been blogging full-time since September 1999 but have ploughed through about 6 personal blogs in that time. The highest post count I reached on one of those was 1626 before I moved yet again :)

I have great admiration for the staying power of the others!

  2. Copyright Infringement Or how not to use a photo of a person on a blog….

Kevin over at Lexblog has a post on the right to use a photograph of a person on a blog. (Hat tip to Darren Rowe). Quite frankly the post is quite lacking because it misses the most important part of……

  3. I think the translation thingy is really cool. I would love to get my blog read by more people from all over the world.

  4. I’m amazed at the # of posts on some blogs. I’ve averaged 2 a day on my site, but it only opened in October. Alex at Neatorama averages more like 16 a day, and is up over 6,000. Darren, I guess you’re probably well over the 10,000 mark if you count all your various blogs ;)

  6. Anita: I suspect Neatorama is owned by one body but the posts come from more than one blogger..

  7. I almost fully agree with Stuart on the ethics of blogging. I think it’s fair and legitimate to be rewarded for our work. At the same time, we cannot evade being a bit biased by being paid for a post. But when does anyone write a totally unbiased post? I think this will always be there, paid or non-paid stuff has a certain personal bias to it. We write about people we know, and we don’t want to hurt them, or we don’t want to ruin a relationship just for telling a piece of the truth.
The main challenge is being able to honestly show we are striving to show a balanced view, at the same time admitting our humanity and accepting that there will always be some form of bias in our writing.

  8. Yes, I have a few friends who only go to websites with Chinese translation… I think your readership will increase even more if you test out translation to chinese and spanish.

  9. How can Neatorama have so many posts when he started his blog only in October 2006 ?

And congratulation for Darren for being listed in the most prolific bloggers !

  10. I fully agree with ur view of translating

  11. that would be a nice feature to allow translated version of your great content….but why not use translation plugins instead..I think they would do a great job for you.
