great article on blogger’s block! good read!
Hey,
I figured I’d get around to leaving you a good blogging review sooner or later, nice posts all around, even though I feel a few are a bit basic for me and yes bloggers block sucks, except when you come out of it and are able to go crazy again.
Great piece on Home Run Posts. It’s always a great feeling when you know you’re writing a post that is going to have meanning for people, even if a lot of the readers don’t read the whole piece because it’s 2,000 words.
It was a good reminder to write in a comprehensive manner, sharing everything I know on a particular subject, even if it means writing a series of posts on a subject.
Sometimes I will create a mindmap of a subject to uncover more aspects of a subject than I at first am thinking of. This leads to a more complete, and much longer post.
Technology Evangelist provided a nice chart comparing and contrasting the pros and cons of what to consider when choosing a free blogging platform. They consider what will transfer over to WordPress with your exsisting free blogging platform. Currently my blogs are hosted on blogger and I feel very satisfied with this FREE platform. However, if I do choose WordPress in the future, I know that there is a great reputation and strong following associated with it. Nice resource!
Yes, I have a post that highlights the 10 Eco Tourist Hot Spots and rather than make it one very long and very boring post. I broke it up into a series that I am publishing over the course of the next week or so. And on the days that I don’t pubblish one of those destinatons(becasue something else took me off topic) I publish that Side Note~Rambling and then post the new destination the next day. That way I am staying on my posting schedule and still provide information. I like having these series posts ready to go while I explore other articles and options.
Check it out!
This will be a good course for me as I’m still having a small blog. I strongly agree that you should have to give more consideration if you choose to use free blog platform.
Anyway, I would like to say thanks to Darren for sharing this with us.
