As always, good selection of links Darren.
I’m surprised by how many blogging tools and services don’t support static page content yet. While there is a wealth of CMS software out there, blogging software has an inherent simplicity in it which really makes it the ideal CMS for the less tech savvy (read: majority of the world). I myself have used WordPress as a platform for a few of the sites I created for clients when I thought Drupal or Joomla were overkill. Good to see the “page” fuctionality becoming more universal.
On the toipic of books, ironically, it’s heartwarming to see actual books being created about the topic of blogging by regular people who blog rather than a smattering of purpose-written books to fill in a niche the publisher felt needed filling. A sign of the growing maturity of the field, I guess.
And if I was Google, I would certainly try to buy Feedburner. Let’s see if that comes to pass.
If google buys feedburner, thats one nice decision.
Hi you guys. . . my post “How to Find the Person of Your Dreams” has made it onto the front page of Netscape.com! Would you mind helping by voting for it at the link below? Thanks so much! http://personals.netscape.com/story/2007/05/18/-how-to-find-the-person-of-your-dreams
Google buying Feedburner would be huge.
Agree, google and feedburner = impressive
If Google gets feedburner, they’d be completely unstoppable now. Who knows what else Google can buy out in the future. Again, that’s a good batch of links you got there, Darren, thank you!
I’ve already ordered the 4-Hour Work Week book based on the blog buzz surrounding it. That Timothy Ferriss is a savvy web marketer!
Re: Google adding Auto-Saving feature to Blogger: yes, it’s cool and is a long time coming. BUT-when they added that feature, the “preview” tool stopped working. I checked it on a friend’s computer, and it stopped working on that, too. Both computers were Macs, btw, so it may just be incompatible with Macs. Are other people having problems with it?
