I’m just home from the Problogger NY Readers meetup – what a fun night! Thanks everyone. I’ll post some photos and comments tomorrow after I recover.
If you’ve got pictures or blog posts about the meetup please tag them pbny07 so we can all share the fun.
By the Way – NYT has an article in the Sunday edition titled Can Blogs Become a Big Source of Jobs? ProBlogger even got a quick mention (if only the journalist knew I was in town).
Darren et all,
I think everyone had a lot of fun at the NY ProBlogger meetup tonight, and it was a pleasure to meet so many interesting people.
I posted about this event, and some of the bloggers I’ve met with links to their blogs so you can get a better feel for it. Sorry no event photos there though. Noticing the Comment Policy, I hope the link is acceptable, otherwise blow it away :)

– cheers
A great night.
Really enjoyed finally meeting you Darren. I had so many interesting conversations – the crowd was as intelligent as it was diverse.
Cheers mate!
What kind of reason or advice do you give your readers about joining a blog network when the pay is so low according to this article from NYT? I know you have your own blog network. Is that your main income or is it your other blogs?
Darren, I don’t know if you covered it a previous post, but any downloads of recordings of the conference, especially your presentation?
Welcome home!
A journalist worth his or her muster would have checked to see if anybody she or he was mentioning was doing anything. So she just blew her follow-up story. This is why tunnel-visioned print journalists get scooped by bloggers.
I forgot my camera this time but I saw Lara and a few others had cameras. Looking forward to seeing the pics :)
Darren – again, what a blast! (Though I think I brought your cold home with me… LOL) I had lost my voice near entirely by the time I made it back to the train station to get home, and I was so tired I ran over a (previously hit) deer on the road. Shook me up a bit, so I pulled over at the next rest stop and realized that today’s going to be a car wash day. I’m okay though, so’s my baby (the car) so no worries.
I had so much fun the whole time down in the city hanging with you, Chad, Aaron, Shai, and all the other coolie people I got to meet there.
I can’t wait to see the pics from your camera! :)
I got your invite from FB, unfortunately I was in Atlanta at the time and I won’t be in NYC for a while.
Thanks so much for bringing us all together, Darren! It was a lot of fun and I hope we can do it again soon!
