Regular readers to ProBlogger will notice that the advertising campaign that I was running with Entrecard has come to an end and there’s no longer any Entrecard widget on the blog here.
I want to thank Entrecard for their sponsorship and giveaway the credits that I earned from the widget today.
I’ve got a total of 36,723 credits at present and am going to divide them up into three prizes of 12,241 credits for three winners of this quick little competition.
Here’s what you’ve got to do to put yourself in the running to win.
In 250 words or less tell me in comments below tell me about a quality undiscovered blog.
The catch is – it can’t be your own (and it can’t be mine). You will also need to be an Entrecard user to win – otherwise the prize is kind of pointless.
I want to know a URL and up to 250 words on why it’s a great blog in your eyes. I and a secret judge will pick three winners to win the prize in three days time.
Quick correction, in my last comment, I mistakenly added a comma to the URL for http://brainstimulant.blogspot.com/
Thanks,
Dan
you might have read many Commanding Blogs but you will not read anyblog that exciting then That
http://www.le-grove.co.uk The blog is About Arsenal Football Club and General Football……..If you have any interest in Football or Arsenal you will not want to miss that one.
Blog Posts on all the serious matters always have a Funny End, I dont know but it is written that way it make you comment on the post right away.
I dont know how much traffic this blog gets but surelly gets the comments on every matter more then any successfull blog i know….
I don’t know what the exact definition you’re using for ‘undiscovered’ is, so I hope this counts!
Notes from Spain is a superb blog I came across recently. It’s quite specialised, but for anyone interested in travelling to Spain, Spanish culture or learning Spanish this is an excellent resource.
It’s written by a Spanish / English couple (both long term residents of Madrid). It’s attractive to look at and easy to navigate, but most of all there is a lot of interesting content on many different aspects of life in Spain. Also there is a series of podcasts for improving your Spanish conversational skills.

Hi,
I’m nominating Self Help Zone with url – http://www.selfhelpzone.com/ to be included in the 3 undiscovered blogs that you will declare one of the winners in your contest. This is a no frills blog where its sole aim is man’s self improvement. It tackles all sectors of human concerns from medical, emotional, physical, psycho social and other forms of human endeavors. Its articles are really nuggets of gold that will surely help all kinds of individuals. Thanks for the opportunity of nominating this blog. God bless.
I would like to nominate Patric Welch’s blog, http://www.noobieinc.com/whatsnoo. Patric, a.k.a. Mr Noobie, specializes in regularly posting useful technology device reviews. From digital cameras to how to operate your DVR, you are sure to find answers to your technology device questions!
My nomination for a quality undiscovered blog is Divine Purpose Unleashed at http://divinepurposeunleashed.com
This is an inspiring, uplifting blog authored by Michelle and CK who not only blog but also hold workshops, speak, coach, and offer further inspiration through their show on BlogTalkRadio.
Some of my favorite articles they’ve posted on their blog have been about the law of attraction, staying in the present moment, living with passion, and discovering your purpose (no surprise since that’s the name of their blog, LOL).
Please be sure to check out Divine Purpose Unleashed if you’d like a dose of inspiration for your day!
First of all, I would like to say that I am sad to see you dropping Entrecard. I am sure you have your reasons, as with most others that have dropped the service recently, many before all the new features that Entrecard has added.
Also, I am not sure what classifies a blog as undiscovered. I have found many blogs I never seen before since joining Entrecard. I am sure many of them have been around a bit, but undiscovered to me.
If this is the case, then I would like to say that I have found Court’s Internet Marketing School at http://www.courtneytuttle.com quite useful. I originally found his site through the Entrecard system back at the beginning. However he has dropped the entrecard widget since. I found the blog while looking for some WP themes. He offered some of the more popular WP themes that we have een around, but with a twist. SEO optimization. He had taken common themes and added necessary code for use with the all-in-one-seo plugin.
So after visiting the blog for themes I started reading a few other posts, many or most of them were really helpful. I subscribed to the feed and found myself reading almost everyday, if not every day, hehe. So I believe that Courts Internet Marketing School blog is very resourceful for both beginning bloggers as well as the blogging veterans, especially if you need tips on SEO.

You are leaving Entrecard. Thats so good. I really do not like it at all. So I am not in for the contest. By the way your blog is not undiscovered. Hey anyone promote my blog. Darren do not delete this comment.
OK, so I’m not an Entrecard person, don’t even know what it is, but I think hoboteacher is an under-appreciated blog.
http://www.hoboteacher.com/
My vote is for http://www.slackerheaven.com/
It has a pretty simple design, but it makes me laugh almost every day and as a stay at mom with 2 young kids, I need all the spare laughs I can get sometimes!
What exactly constitutes an “undiscovered” blog? I want to nominate Like Merchant Ships (http://likemerchantships.blogspot.com), but Meredith has over 1000 subscribers. She’s gained loyal readers with her motto of “Cheerful Frugality,” stretching her dollars to make her family’s life better while never complaining. She’s the kind of woman I want to have as a friend in real life, and someone I constantly learn from. Her posts are inspirational, yet at the same time very down to earth. For example, she’ll show how she made a frugal housewarming basket to give as a gift. It will be beautiful, inexpensive, and easy for someone to copy. One of my favorite posts was from this past Mother’s Day, when she wrote about looking for an outfit for her son to wear to a tropical wedding they’ll be attending. A little bit of humility and prayer equals blessing and inspiration.

Sorry for the double-posted comment!
Hi Darren
Great idea although there are zillions of very good blogs around. I like the idea of nominating another bloggers blog instead of our own.
My nomination is Your Fun Family – http://www.yourfunfamily.blogspot.com/
It’s a nice straightforward fun family blog – interesting stories – nothing earth shattering, however sometimes you just want some entertainment – this blog is a joy to read with the occasional helpful parenting tips – worth a regular read.
good luck in selecting three from this list.
cheers
les – the radical blogger
Darren,
Here is my nomination :http://vishnus.name/blog/ . This is a personal blog (not of your niche). The blog doesn’t do me any use, but I still read it because of its awesome content which provides fun and information.
The blog is almost well hidden comparing its content.
I personally don’t prefer Entrecard, even though i am using it.
I want to nominate TheStatBot. It does some great analysis of social media sites like TechCrunch, FriendFeed, and Twitter. All of the posts contain great graphs and thoughtful analysis of how different social media sites work. And the whole thing is written by a 17 year old! Amazing.
Hi Darren,
I would like to nominate Human Blogging Tips. http://wherebloggersandhumansmeet.blogspot.com/
This is a well presented blog by an engineer who has decided to engineer his passion of writing instead of numbers. Written in a friendly and comfortable style that captures the reader. You can also find great tips on everything from parenting, blogging and everything in between.
Hopefully I’m not too late! The undiscovered blog I would like to nominate is http://www.moneysavingstudent.com/
Because:
I first stumbled across this blog through blogcatalog, partly because I was trying to check if there were other blogs within my niche, I write moneymakingstudent.co.uk, so I had to smile when I first came across this blog having such a similar domain to mine. What for me distinguishes a great blog? Well if I look at a post and think, I wish I had discovered/come up with that idea, thats what makes a great blog. Being a student blog too I realized how juggling student life and blogging can be a challenge. Also whereas my blog falls into the ‘make money online’ and is littered with adverts. Money Saving Student is not, giving great advice for free, with no reward.
Thats why this blog has my respect and my vote!
Cheers,
Martyn
I’m nominating Lori of A Cowboy’s Wife:
http://acowboyswife.com/
I love her blog! She blogs about life, people, news, reviews and money and often has great giveaways. She’s a stay-at-home mom who’s been married for 15 years and her writings are honest and sincere and definitely not superficial.
She’s maintained a great marriage and 3 beautiful kids whle teaching others how to make money online. The best thing about her is that everything she’s learned about making money online has been self-taught and through trial and error and not just taken off some other make money blog. The sincerity in her blog posts has won her many readers and I think that makes all the difference in a blog!
Be true to yourself and others!
My nomination is for The Sports Dollar, which is a make money blog uniquely focused on sports.
Sports blogs provide a little bit of a different angle and animal than other niches, and Kellex over at The Sports Dollar not only understands that, but helps to explain the best ways sports bloggers can use that to their advantage when attempting to monetize their blog.
Kellex has also taken a page out of Problogger’s book and started up his own jobs board. He also has done a wonderful job of getting useful and creative guests posts out of some great sports bloggers themselves.
As I have understood the last part of this post, this giveaway has already ended it was stated that Darren will choose in three days time after the date of posting.
I just hope Dareen will be kind enough to announce the winners.
Okay, who wins? :)
You Are Living is a great challenge blog that will help everybody improve! With the self improvement and challenges offered on my site you can improve every day in every way. This blog is very close to my heart and if I could get the word out about it I’m sure it could change thousands of lives. From info on health and fitness to general encouragement to crack a smile once a day, You Are Living is the savior of the blog universe! :)
When will the winners be announced?
3 days turned into a week, heh. My how time does fly.
Hello there. I just wanted to mention another very good blog. That blog is Pearsonified.com. Chris Pearson is a great blogger plus he’s an awesome designer. I’m using one of his bestest themes on my blog now. What I like about Chris Pearson’s blog is that he gives mashing SEO tips. Plus his themes are mouth watering too. I know that the contest is about an undiscovered blog, but Chis Pearson’s blog surely deserves the top spot.
I think http://www.entrepreneur.com.sg is a great blog with inside tips on China and Singapore and it’s latest expose of entrecard is hilarious.
The writers are also my friends (well, one of them is) and helped me set up my blog and that makes me definitely, not biased. ;)
