Greetings! Did you have a big week? I’ve had ideas falling out of my ears these last few days so I’ve spent a lot of time with my notebook, brainstorming them all before they run out. Weeks like this don’t come very often, so I’ve learned to really indulge when they do. I hope it’s been an inspirational one for you too! (and if not… there’s always next week ;-))

This. Was. Huge. And something I needed to pay attention to, because I once broke my site with a plugin. It’s freaky and horrible and something I don’t wish to do again! This post was also concerning when it came to Akismet – a plugin plenty of us have on our very precious sites.

Hi Stacey,
Pulled back big time this week. More promoting and….gasp….I did not even write and publish a blog post. Shame on me ;) Seriously though I too found a flood of ideas knocking on my mind’s door. Pulling back was the genesis as always. So funny how working less always leads to greater returns for me. Former workaholic and present day fun-aholic.
As for the list I read a few. Just shared Brian’s epic post. Is there a guy or gal online – save Neil Patel – who does the long form, pillar style post better? Not sure if there is. I use Brian and Neil as inspiration for when I create my thorough posts. Fab examples. Go long or go home. Learning this lesson more each week, or every 10 days according to my current posting frequency.
Loving this feature and hey, I really dig those images. I’d love to see more eye candy on Pro Blogger going forward, with each post. Add a handful with each post I say. Even though you’ve a monster audience I feel you’d see a steady surge of readers if you peppered in those images with each post. I spotted a surge when I did so 4 short weeks ago. Sure I’m adding pictures of the tropics but any images tend to snag the attention which is always a fab thing for a blogger. Thanks Stacey for the share.

I’m really feeling the pull of taking a break at the moment – I really think the brain needs some downtime to get creative again! I think your tropical pictures would beat mine any day, I’m SO not visual!
good
Thanks heaps for the mention. Really appreciate it. Good list of articles you’ve got here.

Thanks so much for the advice! I kind of freaked out a bit and went trawling through all my plugins…
