Bloggrrl had insomnia last night and so write herself a great little bloggytale – The Three Little Blogs: A Cautionary Tale – very creative.
Which little pig blogger are you?
I think I’ve been all three on different blogs over the years.

Which little pig blogger are you?
I think I’ve been all three on different blogs over the years.
Hopefully the third!
I think it was a nice story and fits a lot of blogs right into it.
Michelle did a great job at that ;) Everyone should aim to be the 3rd pig, eh? :)
I try to be #3, but it is easy to slack off when testing a new market.
BeachBum
I am the little piggie she didn’t write about, the one on the end of a reeeallly long tail.
I hope I turn out to be like the third pig I mean blog.
Umm…I want to be the big bad blog! lol
Currently I’m the second piggy but hopefully in a month or two I will be the third piggy :) Here piggy piggy piggy!
I’m the third little pig!
I love posts like these that offer some creativity! Also to get Darren and john back to back comments to start it off is great!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, and I certainly appreciate the mention! I’m still trying to figure out which one I am…pig 2.1, perhaps?
Well the first thing that caught my mind in the story was why even bother to leave Blogger.com – but hey that’s just me
I’m in the third category though but there have been times that I have been tempted to go the “faster” route. Mind you I said “tempted” because if I have learned anything its that the longest route is usually the best route.
I have the first pig for a couple of months and now iam the second pig and hoping to be the third pig …
I think I may be a combination of numbers two and three.
I love that post though. I especially like the “The big bad blog stumbled upon the first little blog.” part where he inserts a StumbleUpon link.
I always enjoy bloggrrl’s sense of humour — she’s getting really wicked with the web-based allegories! …Which pig? Some days, truly, I think I’m just a barnyard character in another fairy tale altogether! Hey, it’s all good fun.
probably 2+3 – good post!
All of us are trying to be the third blog/pig! :)
But the Big Bad Blog could be the Big Good Blog. Depends on the approach and focus of the third pig/blog. :)
What about the Fourth Little Blogger: the one who posts lots of personal content and forgets to write articles that benefit his readers.
I think it’s a lot easier to fall into that trap than it is to post infrequently.
I’m the second little blogger.. :)
Hehe… I am also trying to figure out what blogger I am.. probably the second one. Although I love blogging, going pro is not my ultimate goal but I do hope that I will keep it up for years just because it’s fun and I love writing and I want to promote the cause of green. :)
Very effective writing! How about Jack and the blogstalk…there would be this poor kid who wanted to make money online…so he took a risk and traded his donkey for a domain to which he can plant his seeds of ideas in his little blog. One day, his blog grew readership, and started to produce some profits. Eventually though, a selfish giant recognized the potential of this boy’s blog. The giant then stole his ideas and posted in his own bigger blog…. ok, maybe my story isn’t going well….I wish I had Blogrrrl’s talent.
I loved reading “The Three Little Blogs: A Cautionary Tale” and at the same time felt really baffled because I actually played with idea of writing my post about what you can learn about blogging from reading fairytales based on The Three Little Pigs just like that.
Only was I thinking about it a week before this article was published and not because I couldn’t sleep, but because I was trying to come up with a great idea for a post revolving around the number three (for a Daily Blog Tips project).
Instead I chose to summarize the original and then write about what you could learn from it and how you could interpret it. Not as much fun to read as this one I am sure, but perhaps (even) more enlightening? You find my story by clicking my name. Should you be so inclined.
I would absolutely love to hear what you think about it, how you value the differences and which you think will teach you the most…
