- Adverblog has an interesting report on a campaign by Toyota in Greece who offered a number of Greek bloggers week long test drives of their new model car. Bloggers also were given free cameras (as a gift) to help them capture the test drives. All of the reviews were written on both the blogs of the bloggers as well as a central blog.

Great links! I especially liked DoshDosh post! And that video is really interesting also! Thanx for sharing those Darren! :)
The video was fun to watch. I agree there are waaaay too many top 10 lists out there already. I think it’s time bloggers evolved from that mindset if they want to keep a digger engaged.
Right now though, if you find something cool or weird on Google Street View Maps, you’re homepage bound. But that’s only if you link to the map itself and not to your blog. Actually there was that top 15 post by mashable, hmmm maybe the top 15 is the new top 10.
I wish I was greek!
I’ve always tried writing quality, keyword rich headlines, it’s a fine art though. I link baited once with “The Secret of….”, and it got me huge numbers. Now I try and just give three words on what the blog is about (usually Blah, Blah and Blah)
Nice video though I kind of ignore Digg as a traffic source now and just enjoy it for what it is. Hurts the productivity when there are so many cool flash games and silly videos on there though :)
The video was a special treat. How old school, whiteboard and marker! Anyone can use this idea, its so duplicatable!
They should have ended the presentation with an offer…I’d have paid the guy’s company to get some of my articles on digg, it’s nearly impossible to win the digg game without resources or a small army behind you.
Please keep sharing these little video tutorials, I think its an excellent experience on your blog.
Darren,
The one for Alex’s post on twitter and email is actually going to an announcement about your event in NY. I have been looking for opinions on how twitter is fits into the blog toolboxes of the pros.
And that is the drawback to niche blogging, if you dont have a niche in a subject that has a wide fan base or translats well to selling things your skrewed.
Anyone have any advice on how I might find a good consulant willing to spend a few hours (paid, of course) to talk me though some questions about affiliate marketing? I’m new to the area, coming at things from a bit of a different direction, which is either inspired or idiotic. I’m hoping a) to get some feedback as to which it is, and b) to get some answers about which affiliate programs are the best for me.
Any names?
