Posted By Darren Rowse 22nd of April 2006 Adsense 0 Comments

AdSense have expanded the number of ad formats that you can now have image ads in by allowing the Square (250 X 250) and Large Rectangle (336 X 280) formats to now have image ads in addition to the text ads that they were limited to previously. They’re yet to update this information on their ‘ad formats’ page but have announced it on their What’s New page today.

  1. You know what darren, the best thing about Google is that these guys are always experimenting. Look they have even changed the google adsense setup for product look though I prefered the older one. The new format looks better but it cost me couple of clicks more :-)

  2. Cool news. I like that they keep expanding the options available to publishers… anything new to experiment with to increase CTR is a good thing for everybody involved.

  3. I’m still gonna stick with the 336×280 text only as text ads get more clickthroughs than image.
