I am a professional communicator with more than 20 years of experience in Communications. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Certificate in Business Administration and a Certificate in Public Relations. I have experience in internal and external communications, writing and editing, media relations and stakeholder relations, and in my most recent position I wrote a variety of materials and developed strategies and plans to engage stakeholders.
I’ve spent the last four years volunteering in a communications capacity for My Hope Chest ( a U.S.- based breast cancer charity) and the Pet Cancer foundation to keep my skills up and get experience in a health care-related sector. Most recently as a Senior Copywriter for the Pet Cancer Foundation.
I work well with everyone from the CEO to clerical staff. I have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills and am able to analyze and evaluate complex information from multiple sources to create clear, concise, compelling and accurate materials. I stay calm and am able to maintain focus under pressure, can juggle multiple projects simultaneously and have the ability to switch gears quickly to meet changing demands. I look at issues through a lens that balances the needs of the organization with the needs of the audience so that language is inclusive and easily understood while maintaining the integrity of the message.
