We’re looking for 5 to 8 subject matter expert writers able to write across a broad spectrum of car and trucks on a regular basis. (ie. expert car repair advice, automotive maintenance, troubleshooting, reviews, and other car-related information)
If you're an automotive technicians who know about every little part of a car and amazing writing skills, this might be the place for you.

We’re a small media company that runs a number of blogs and content sites. We need your help in creating informative and engaging content for our new Automotive website.
We’re looking for experienced real-world mechanics, ASE-certified technicians or industry expert who can help us expand our new Automotive website into an education hub for motoring enthusiasts and amateur mechanics alike.
This is a great opportunity to write from your own experiences and teach skills that will make an actual difference in the daily lives of our readers. You will cover a wide range of topics across the car and truck repair, and be credited with the bylines on your work. This is not a ghostwriting position.
For this, we need a true expert - no fakers here, please! If you don’t have extensive hands-on experience, passion, and intellectual curiosity for automotive, it’s not going to work.

Within This Role You Will Work On
You will write informational articles on all aspects of car and truck repair advice, and product roundups.
Our priority is publishing content that is comprehensive, informative, engaging, and the best out there on each topic. We have a zero tolerance policy for fluffy writing. If you aren't prepared to go the extra mile, deliver value with every sentence, and back it up with in-depth knowledge, research, and your personal experience, this is not the job for you.
We place a high emphasis on properly researched, comprehensive and engaging content, and we want our writers to do more than just hit a word count.
The backbone of SEO needs to be considered, with the appropriate format and structure in place. We also offer hands on training in SEO, content planning, and web copy writing to help hone your skills.
This is a freelance contract position with room for growth into an editor or content manager role.
Willingness to work with our content team to develop article structure and revise drafts until they meet all content goals.
Our Ideal Candidates
We are seeking ASE-certified technician and diagnostic technician, Car Service and Maintenance Experts and others who have academic or hands-on experience.
Native speaker or high level of fluency in written American English. This is non-negotiable. You must also be intimately familiar with writing for a US audience and not be afraid.
We’re looking for someone who can initially write 4-8 articles a month. Most articles will range between 2000 - 4000 words. Additional work is possible if proven reliable and can provide top-notch work.
Know how to write and structure a top-notch article our readers will love (introduction, formatting, bullet lists, subheadings, etc.) NOT fill up articles with unnecessary fluff.
We are looking for a long-term fit with a professional-minded writer who wants a position on our team for years.
Collaboration experience within Google Docs, Sheets, and modern project management applications. Bonus if you’ve used Clickup. (We can train you)
