Description
Who we are: Solombo.com is a founder-led growth consultancy for B2B and SaaS companies, focused primarily on search (SEO, GEO, paid). We work closely with a few clients at a time and connect SEO, content, paid, and sales data to pipeline & revenue, not just traffic.
Why it's a great opportunity: you work directly with the founder, with no layers in between. You learn how content drives pipeline and how to optimize for search. As we grow, you can grow into bigger roles and later join projects with uncapped commissions. See the founder’s video message.
The role: you'll own the content side of one blog: AI-assisted writing, editing, and aligning with our strategy and methodology. It starts as a 1-month trial with full focus. It's a warm-up and onboarding, and the pace is challenging. Land it, and it becomes a long-term role owning content ops across our projects.
At a glance
- Agreement: contractor agreement
- Trial: starts from Nov 12-17 and runs until Dec 11-18, then long-term if we land. We may run it with a few people in parallel and combine forces
Targets: 60-70 articles in total (about 40 updates + 20-30 new). Minimum: 40 finalized and approved articles (updates & new) in the first 5 weeks, about 8 a week. All 60-70 by Dec 18, about 10-14 a week. - How content is made: most articles are templatizable, and sections are reusable. AI (Claude) generates drafts from detailed briefs and guidelines. You're not left alone: we work closely with you on briefs and the process at the start, and on streamlining it with AI. It's in our best interest that you deliver. We onboard you with the process so you can take it from there.
- What we need from you: full focus, section-by-section refinement, alignment with our methodology and the big picture, and owning the content production side.
- Payout range: $1,250 for the minimum (40 finalized and approved articles) up to $2,500 for the full target, depending on where we land and how fully you own the process
- Week 1 checkpoint: the Week 1 target is onboarding + 8 articles. It’s challenging but doable with full focus, since we draft with AI from detailed briefs and help you streamline the workflow. We give you fast feedback on your first 2 articles so you can iterate quickly. After week 1, we review speed, quality, and ownership together. There are three possible outcomes:
- All three: the top of the range is yours, we continue long-term, and your scope grows with ours. Overdeliver with quality and quantity (say 12-15 articles), and it's even better
Quality is there, but speed or an extra skill is missing: we bring others in so we still meet the targets, and you stay in the process. Pay switches to per approved article (if you can't meet the minimum), and we adjust the terms together. We do our best to support and onboard you fully
Quality isn't there after the initial feedback on your first drafts: we stop working together, and you're paid for finalized work ($200-500)
- All three: the top of the range is yours, we continue long-term, and your scope grows with ours. Overdeliver with quality and quantity (say 12-15 articles), and it's even better
- Location and hours: remote, flexible hours
Communication: proactive, mostly async
The project and scope
The project and scope
The project is a conversion optimization solution for subscription apps (paywalls, onboarding, A/B testing), an alternative to Adapty.io. Example of the type of topic and blog (link to the source). More about the project after the NDA.
Scope:
- Updates: most are light touches, some need a rewrite. Goal is to raise the average content quality score and align with the overall picture, strategy, and editorial guidelines.
- New articles: AI-assisted, from detailed briefs, examples, and templates. Most sections are reusable across articles, and after the first 10, you'll get a flow
- Your focus: the editorial side. Most articles come from briefs, so you refine, keep everything consistent and linked, and note what to improve for the next AI iteration. Later, you'll help with brief creation too and own the whole content side
How each article gets done:
- Brief: outline, search intent, writing points, examples, and product context
- Draft: generate the article with AI (Claude), from the brief and context
- Refine: go section by section. Fix style, flow, facts, and AI-sounding sentences, and align with the big picture. Add the product, screenshots, and links to related articles where they fit naturally. Note what to improve for the next iteration
How we support you and where it leads
- Onboarding on the methodology
- Examples, demo access and onboarding videos (after the NDA)
- Help with briefs at the start, then you take them over
- Fast feedback on your first articles, so you iterate quickly
- We streamline the workflow and AI with you, but you own it. We need your focus, judgment, and editorial skills to keep everything aligned
Where it leads, if we land this project:
- Long-term role: we need someone who owns content ops and aligns with our methodology. Depending on your skills and adaptability, you might own some parts of marketing ops too. Expect periods where we push the gas to break through, and this project introduces that pace. Not constantly: we play a sustainable long-term game.
- Perk: become one of the best at content writing and SEO optimization. Part of your time goes to learning best practices in your focus area, plus SEO and AI search optimization. As we grow, you grow with us: a $1,250/mo baseline, even in a month without client work, and within a year several times more. Later, projects with uncapped commissions and co-ownership. It's in our best interest to find that kind of person, hope that's you!

How we work and core values
- Flow and deep work: plan your day around your best hours and turn off notifications. According to researchers at the University of California, Irvine, it takes about 23 minutes on average to fully refocus after even a short interruption
- The One Thing at a Time: each day, week, and month, ask: what's the one thing that makes everything else easier or obsolete?
- Full ownership and accountability: treat it like it's yours. Don't have the answer? Find it and come up with solutions. Can't? Ask. Deadlines are firm: if a target needs extra hours, plan for them. If you can't make a deadline, tell us early so we can address it together.
