My Open Country aims to encourage and enable more people to participate in the Great Outdoors by providing inspirational guides and reviews to help demystify and simplify their path to participation. Less time researching for our clients means more time being outdoors! We do this by providing content which is information-rich, trustworthy and actionable.
What we look for
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial writer with experience and knowledge about the outdoors (specifically camping, backpacking & hiking).
Writers with a voice and personality to their writing. Those that aren’t nervous to use humor or experience in their writing. Writers who can write like an expert in the field, but may have just learned the information.
You’re familiar with SEO-driven writing.
You’re quick on your feet, enthusiastic and forever curious. You’ll be writing in English, needless to say, your proficiency in the English language should be top notch.
You’ll work from home, so clear communication is important. As are deadlines, grammar, and a good spirit!
