Description

Our Company

We produce natural, scientifically-proven workout supplements, books, and workout programs. Our audience tends to be educated, affluent, and middle-aged. In other words, they're very skeptical, committed, professional people.

Your Job

Your job will be writing short introductions to recipe lists.

We regularly curate recipes from the web and publish them on our sites. To make them more interesting and encourage engagement, we write a short intro to put at the beginning of the post.

The Requirements

You must be a professional caliber writer with a high attention to detail. We are VERY picky and expect feature-quality work.

You must be able to write in an engaging and conversational tone with personality and voice. If you have a good sense of humor too, that’s a big plus.

You must be into health and fitness yourself. Ideally, you’d have at least a few years of proper dieting and training under your belt. Many of our readers are experienced and educated health and fitness professionals and aficionados and can easily spot a fake.

You must be dependable and able to work on reasonable deadlines.

Your articles must be 100% original and pass Copyscape.

You need to be able to write introductions that are engaging, logically organized, and specific to each article.

It's essential that you pick an angle, some kind of premise to apply to the list, and then build people's interest with logical, clear writing.

You will be working off of an outline at first, so your main job is just to flesh out the bullet points that we put together. This will also help you understand exactly how we go about writing these. As you progress in the role, the goal is to be able to send you the list of recipes and have you write the introduction without us putting together an outline.

We have a generic formula in place for how we write these, so you'll have that to work off of.

You'll work in Google docs, and will be expected to answer email daily to stay in touch and help us stay on schedule. You'll generally get two recipe posts per week to work on, with each intro around 200-300 words, which shouldn't take more than two hours per week.

If you do a good job, we may also ask you to start putting together the recipe collections themselves.

To apply, answer the following:

Attach three writing samples that are relevant to this position. Recipe posts and articles on cooking are good examples.

Tell us a little about yourself, and why you're interested in working with us. We prefer to work with people who are interested in fitness or staying active and eating healthy. You don't need to be in amazing shape or be competitive, but you do need to have a deep interest in healthy living in general.

We'll get back to you if we think it would be a good fit.
