I am currently undertaking a 10-month PGCE program at the University of Birmingham, specializing in teaching French at the secondary level. The course combines rigorous academic training with hands-on teaching placements, equipping me with the skills to plan, deliver, and assess engaging French lessons.

With a focus on developing students' language proficiency and cultural understanding, I am gaining expertise in curriculum design, classroom management, and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. This program is providing me with the knowledge and practical experience to become an effective and inspiring modern foreign languages teacher.

I completed a one-year Master’s degree in Diplomacy, Law, and Global Change at Coventry University, where I explored the intersection of international relations, legal frameworks, and global challenges. The course covered key topics such as international diplomacy, human rights law, conflict resolution, and the impact of globalization on global governance.

This program enhanced my analytical and research skills, deepened my understanding of global issues, and provided a strong foundation for engaging with complex international dynamics in professional and academic contexts.

I completed a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in French at the University of Jos, where I developed advanced proficiency in the French language and a deep appreciation for Francophone literature and culture. The program honed my skills in critical analysis, translation, interpretation, and effective communication.

This degree not only strengthened my linguistic abilities but also enhanced my understanding of diverse cultural narratives, which has been invaluable in shaping my perspective as a writer. The analytical, research, and communication skills I gained during this program have provided a strong foundation for my career as a freelance writer, enabling me to create content that is insightful, engaging, and culturally sensitive.

**Trainee Modern Foreign Languages Teacher – Walsall Academy**

As a trainee MFL teacher specializing in French at Walsall Academy, I developed and delivered engaging lessons aimed at enhancing students' language proficiency and cultural understanding. My responsibilities included planning curriculum-aligned lessons, assessing student progress, and adapting teaching methods to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities.

This role allowed me to refine my skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and fostering a positive learning environment, all while deepening my passion for French language education.

As the founder and IELTS coach at Labrighter Language Services, I provided personalized language training to help students achieve their target IELTS scores. From designing tailored lesson plans to addressing individual strengths and areas for improvement, I focused on all four components of the test—Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.

Using innovative teaching strategies and detailed feedback, I successfully supported many students in surpassing their goals. This role allowed me to combine my expertise in language instruction with a passion for empowering learners to achieve their academic and professional aspirations. The project has been on hold since September 2024 due to my current PGCE training.
