- I was born in southwest Connecticut and grew up in the town of Cheshire.
- I lived in Queens and Long Island, New York, from 1986 until 2005.
- I currently reside in Bangladesh with my family.
- I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

Since 2005, my family and I have lived outside of the US. Aside from my writing and blogging abilities, since I am over 11 hours ahead of US time zones, there is often an advantage for businesses in getting work completed before US business hours.
