My name is Carolina Prewitt and I have just completed my degree in Criminology at Florida State University. During my time in college, I have completed several academic research theses with tenured professors as well as written content for editing companies and credit unions. I have a passion for helping bridge the gap between a consumer's needs and a business's intentions and goals through well-written articles, social sites or simply emails. At times, professional jargon can be lost on a client, and I love using the written word to efficiently link an ease of understanding with professionalism, a passion for the product with the well-meaning goals of the creators and the business and professional world with the everyday consumer.
I grew up overseas in Lisbon, Portugal and Chaingmai, Thailand as my parents worked in the humanitarian field. I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish and have a passion for intercultural and international content. Growing up surrounded by so many different cultures, languages and religions and being religious myself, I am also interested in spiritual and religious writings.
Education
Graduated with a degree in Criminology, a minor in International Affairs and a certificate in Emergency Management. All these degrees being philosophy and theory based, most of my education focused on writing reports, explaining theories and completing original, published research.
Experience

Regular communication between supervisors such as the President of the University, with clients such as incoming freshmen, to State Offices. Help clients with English classes, work on resettlement program initiatives such as female independence programs and learning opportunities, sign clients up for benefits, help procure housing and employment, keep government documents up-to-date.
Worked in an NGO office in Thailand that aids IDP’s in Burma escape the war, helping pack school and medical supplies for refugees and coordinating logistical events to help the operations. Went into Burma on a recon mission, travelling to struggling villages and assessing needs.

Served as an editor for a writing company that worked with Credit Unions, creating their information manuals, application tests and webpages.
