Social Media Copywriter

We are looking for a freelance social media copywriter with strong writing skills to write and post copy on social networks and insert appealing visuals or videos.

Finmark is a rapidly growing SaaS company focused on creating more successful startups by simplifying financial modeling and planning.

We are looking for a team player who can help build our community on Twitter and LinkedIn by creating educational and entertaining content for startups and engaging with our target audience.

Responsibilities:

• Write engaging copy for social media platforms (Twitter and LinkedIn).
• Develop a weekly/monthly content calendar.
• Repurposing our existing content into Twitter threads and long-form LinkedIn posts
• Publish 3-5 original tweets and 1-3 LinkedIn posts per day.
• Tag relevant thought leaders and accounts in content.
• Reach out to influencers and other industry accounts.
• Select appropriate images or videos to complement the text.
• Improve and adjust copy based on reactions by readers on social media.
• Increasing traffic to the website by adding links to your content.
• Stay on top of trending topics in the startup community

Requirements:

• Excellent writing skills
• A foundational understanding of marketing best practices and trends
• Knowledge of common startup topics (e.g. VC, fundraising, startup growth, startup finances, and more). See our blog for the topics we cover (https://finmark.com/resources/articles/)
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Previous startup experience preferred
