I'm looking for someone who has experience writing detailed content briefs around target keywords.
SaaS industry experience is preferred.
As part of our SEO strategy, we find, qualify and prioritize the keyword targets for clients. We then build out detailed content briefs to hand off to writers. These briefs include:
- Primary keyword
- Secondary keywords
- Content outline with key sections/ subtopics
Briefs should provide writers with all the information they need to create a piece of content that can compete for rankings, and also promote relevant client products/ features.
Here is a breakdown of our process for context:
Basically, we approach this process as follows:
1. Analyze the top 10-15 ranking articles and build a skeleton of all the key sections/ sub topics that need to be covered.
2. We research each section/subtopics as if it were its own dedicated post. Specifically, we enter that subtopic into Google and see how other articles talk about it. Then, we put bullet points of key things to cover in the section to make it provide value. We also comment in links to the articles for writers to reference.
3. We always try to feature the client's feature(s) in relevant areas of the article.
This has become a bottleneck with recent agency growth. If we find the right partner for this, it will results in a steady stream of work each month.
If you have experience producing detailed content briefs that can be handed off to writers, please reply and let me know about your process for creating briefs, and also provide a sample brief that you have created.
