Description

Do you consider yourself an expert golfers? Do you look forward to the days where you can spend time on the golf course? Do your friends constantly come to you as their first port of call for all things golf? And you love writing and blogging?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then read on.

My name is David and I am the founder of Sports Media Corporation.

We are a media company focused on providing on readership with top notch sports content.

To support the growth of one of our websites (150,000 visitors per month and counting), we're looking to hire an expert golf writer to ghost write golf articles for us.

This is an exciting opportunity to write about the thing you love the most - golf!

For this, we need a true expert - no fakers here, please! If you don't love golf, it's not going to work, I am afraid.

Still reading? Great!

As our dedicated writer for golf, you'll join our editorial team, which consists of a formatter assistant as well as a content research person.

Every week, the content research person will brainstorm topic ideas for you, and will send you article briefs with a quick summary of topics in an article need to be covered.

The position will start with 4-6 blog posts per week, with much room to grow beyond this if you can deliver consistent quality work. Each blog post will be between 600 and 1,000 words per post.

Please note that we have very high editorial standards compared to most other blogs. Every post that we publish goes through our strict editorial process where we check all claims and ideas for accuracy. Our readers trust us and we absolutely must ensure the highest quality content.

Topics include:

  • Review of US/UK golf courses
  • Analysis of a PGA golfer's rankings and latest tournaments
  • Golf Instruction: How to slice, how to draw the ball..

You'll be assigned topics by myself and given a submission deadline. We only work with writers who can deliver work on time.

It's quite likely that in the first couple of weeks there will be a lot of feedback and editing required, but generally once a writer gets into the swing of things, that part should be minimal.

Note that we only require our writers to write the content, no web formatting or design is required.

Please provide at least 3 samples of similar content you have written and/or published in your application.

Benefits
Competitive freelance rates
Consistent workload every week (no need for you to look for new clients or work every week!)
Stable work as part of a high performing team
