Description

We're looking to strengthen our writing team with a few people that are interested in writing about the Influencer Marketing space. If that sounds like a good fit for you, keep reading to see what we offer and what we expect.

About working with InfluenceWeekly:

All InfluenceWeekly writers and editors are fully remote freelancers spread around the world. We publish several articles per week on our sister site (netinfluencer.com), which we then send out on Fridays to our 10,000+ newsletter subscribers. Our subscribers are reputable people in the space and we have a high open rate.

Word count usually runs between 750 and 1,500. Generally, all pieces will be based on an interview that our interview team will do with a person in the industry. Those interviews are then transcribed and assigned an “angle” or topic. This transcript and the topic are then sent out to our writers who deliver a story based on the content in the interview.

Generally our pieces go through a round or two of editorial and then gets approved for publishing.

We expect writers to do a little bit of research to connect the interview to the real world topic or angle we selected for it. It is usually minimal because we try to guide the interview according to the topic, so more than anything, we will only need a couple of external references and links to be included.

All deliveries are done on Google Docs and must include, Title, Meta Description, Meta Title and Excerpt.

What we are looking for in our writers:

What we’re looking for are people with native or near-native written English and who are comfortable with American use and style. You need to care about our readers and be willing to put in that extra bit of effort to make the story meaningful and informative for them.

Other important stuff:

We consider our writers part of our family and we are efficient and fair. We expect work to be completed on time and you will be paid on time as well. Currently we are only taking ghostwriters, but as we establish a relationship and your work begins to shine, we would be willing to do byline.

Expect to start with an article or two a week and then grow from there. Our current team is doing between 5-6 each.

If all the above sounds good to you please apply here.

We need:

Your full name

Gmail address (or one routed through Gmail; we work in Google Drive)

Links to published pieces or your portfolio

A short cover letter describing why you want to work for us

Good luck!
