Description

Calling all fishkeepers! Found First Marketing is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable freelance writer that’s also a fishkeeping enthusiast for our fun, but busy, aquarium blog.

What You Can Expect

We’re a small, rapidly growing company, so you can expect great communication and prompt payments (we take PayPal invoices bi weekly and pay the very day the invoice is submitted. We will also pay you per completed article to start until there is trust built up).

We pay .03 USD to .05 USD per word.

We provide a mentor that knows the ins and outs of our process and content briefs. And we provide detailed briefs for each article so you can focus more on writing rather than structure. The briefs aren’t set in stone and are for guidance, we do expect you to fill in where you see fit.

Plus, you’ll always have a knowledgeable and friendly editor every step of the way. We give step by step instructions and helpful templates for all of our content types; these guides, coupled with the briefs will make your job easier and faster.

You can also expect your own byline on our website(s) as a contributor/writer.

Topics will cover home aquarium equipment and accessories, care guides for popular fish, instructional content, decor ideas and beginner guides. Articles range from listicles, to DIY, to product reviews, and range anywhere from 1000 words to 5000 words per article, depending on the topic.

Writers can expect 2 articles per week and we're looking to fill 2 positions. We have over 50+ pieces of content planned and ready to go and expect to run at a continuous pace for 24 months.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a talented writer with a lot of passion and expertise in fishkeeping.

You should be able to write in a tone that is light but informative, without fluff and a level of clarity that anyone reading a “how to” type article can follow.

You must be able to follow article templates and instructions, as well as be able to hit deadlines while allowing time for editing.

Good camera work and a workspace with lots of natural lighting is a plus.

A paid trial article would be completed first to see if information and styles are compatible.

How to apply

Fill out this form. We will get back to you within 2 weeks.
