Description
About Me
I'm Brad, the founder of Cheat Sheet War Room.
I am working to establish my site in the fantasy sports space with loads of fresh and engaging content. This position is for a ghostwriter.
Our Mission
Our goal is to provide practical and actionable advice to fantasy sports enthusiasts. New content will focus on evaluating fantasy sports software and tools (especially those specific to Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS)).
What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for an experienced writer with the following credentials:
- Native English speaker
- Attention to detail
- Experience writing about fantasy sports
- Experience with DFS
- Familiarity with fantasy sports tools
Having all of these traits isn’t necessary to apply, but the more the better.
The bulk of the initial work will be writing reviews and round-up articles where you research a product and detail the pros, cons, benefits, etc of the product.
After the first 30-40 articles, the writing will shift to a mix of both product-centric reviews and informational articles related to fantasy sports.
Scope of Work
We will begin with an average of 2000 to 3000 words per week. This word count will be spread between 2-3 articles, depending on the topic.
The opportunity exists to grow far beyond this if you can deliver consistent, quality work. Each blog post will be between 800 and 2000 words.
Editorial Process
You'll be assigned topics by myself or an editor and given a submission deadline. Along with your topic and outline, you’ll be provided with editorial standards and additional guidance on the direction or theme of the piece.
Please note that we have very high editorial standards compared to most other blogs. No errors, typos, grammatical mistakes, etc.
During the first couple of weeks, there could be a few rounds of feedback and editing required. But once a writer gets into the swing of things, that part should be minimal.
By all means, check out my latest blog posts to get a feel for the sort of quality I'm looking for. Writers only have to write content- no web formatting or design is required.
Applying
If you are interested, please complete our application form.
I am willing to hire multiple writers. Based on the number of qualified applicants, I may assign a paid article to narrow the field.
Thanks and good luck!
