Job Title: Content Writer/Editor – Gaming Niche -  The Sims 4, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Minecraft Gaming Mods

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a human generated content writer or editor preferably in the gaming industry.
  Strong knowledge and passion for The Sims 4 or other popular games. We would love to talk to you if you have knowledge of a different game outside of The Sims 4.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  A creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation.
• Knowledge of HTML and basic web development skills.
  Experience with social media management and community engagement.

Your responsibilities:

Within a month, you will:

• Complete our onboarding program designed to get you up to speed on our business.
• Conduct 1:1s with your team lead to learn more about creating compelling content, SEO, and marketing in general
• Master our grammar and language guidelines
• Deliver content ready for publishing in collaboration with your editor.

Within three months, you will:

• Become completely independent when it comes to writing
• Work on exciting projects where you can polish your skills
• Continue to improve and track your progress in content writing and SEO with your editor and Senior Editor
• Deliver near-perfect final drafts
• Progress to a Senior Writer role that will put you on track to further promotion path

Within six months, you will:

• Mentor, assist, and train new writers
• Create enablement documentation for other writers

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and edit high-quality articles, reviews, and guides related to The Sims 4 and other gaming niches.
• Ensure all content is accurate, well-written, and aligns with the brand’s voice and style.
• Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm and develop new content ideas.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and updates in the gaming mod industry.
• Optimize content for SEO to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
• Engage with the gaming community through social media platforms and forums.
