We currently have a team of writers producing multiple articles per week across our portfolio in a range of niches, such as Travel, Home & Garden, Pets, Lifestyle etc.
We're looking for an experienced content editor to take charge of the editing process, improve the overall standard and quality of the content within our portfolio of websites.
This is NOT just a spelling/grammar checking position.

Requirements:
- Native English speaker of fluent in English (reading & writing)
- Experience using WordPress to edit & publish posts/pages.
- Has an engaging writing/editing style and knows what good content looks like.
- Can edit at least 5+ articles /week
- Able to proofread, grammar, and spell-check articles.
- Format articles to a high standard following provided examples.
- Ability to research topics in-depth.
- Ability to source images, facts & figures to enhance articles
- Willing to go beyond proofreading by rewriting sentences, adding/removing information, inserting hyperlinks to relevant sources, fact-checking, and providing feedback to writers.
Responsibilities:
Initially, you will be assigned to one of our websites, where it will be your role to update/improve existing content and also edit/publish new content coming in.
You will also...
- Provide feedback to the writers for edits needed
- Fact-check, proofread, and improve the overall quality of the articles.
- Deep dive into the topics presented, source additional material we can use/add.
- Work with our designer to request custom images/graphics that will enhance an article.
Payment:
We can be flexible on the hourly rate for the right candidate. We can also discuss a weekly/monthly 'salary' if this is preferred.
