We are a media company with several blogs looking for freelance writers. The goal is to write a blog that helps the reader as best as possible. Our subjects are often a little bit technical, like how to fix something. Or how to solve a small problem. The focus is mainly on consumers, so the blog should be readable for almost everyone.
We have our own application where you choose a title that you want to write and submit it there. You will get feedback there as well, so you can work entirely on your own schedule. Part of the writing is the topic research, but we usually have multiple titles on the same subject. This helps make topic research as efficient as possible.
This is what you have to do:
- Perform solid research to write blog articles
- Create content that follows our writing guidelines
- Write around two articles (1500 words each), or more per week
What we look for:
- You should have experience writing blog content
- We prefer native English speakers or somebody with exceptional mastery of the English language. Writers should have excellent grammar and writing skills.
- You have a broad interest and enough technical background to understand and write about technical subjects. Subjects can range from a problem with a small engine, fixing a bike.
- You are ok with doing intensive research to create the best original articles possible
- You can write publish-ready articles that are plagiarism-free and require minimal editing
- Building a long term relationship
What we offer:
- A flexible way of working
- No real deadlines. When you pick an article, you decide how much time you need. When you need more time or temporarily have some other commitments, this is not a problem. Just let us know. The only commitment we ask is that you regularly submit articles.
- You can work from anywhere at any time. All communication is done in our workflow application.
- Different payment schemes, depending on the article type, length, your writing quality, English level, and research quality. Expect $15 to $25 for a 1500 word article. And up to $35 for quality articles that do not need further editing.
