Description

Want to contribute to developing the marketing for a quickly growing search marketing agency and get paid well while doing it?

Then this On The Map Marketing (OTM) writing gig is for you!

What you’ll be working on:

1. SEO-driven landing pages: This involves learning about our SEO, website design, content, and PPC services for different businesses: plumbing companies, law firms, and more.

For this, you'll get an outline and access to documentation about how the sales pitches of our services, how the customer success manager deals with clients, and the like. If you have specific questions about a service, you can talk with our sales and customer success teams to pick their brains: over Zoom or email.

The final page will need to be optimized for a target keyword and answer all the questions of our prospective customers. Here’s an example page: plumbing SEO services (https://onthemap.com/plumber-seo-agency/).

You’ll create numerous such pages following the same template as above, but you’ve to ensure there’s a compelling narrative in all of them.

2. Long-form informational blog posts about SEO and digital marketing subjects: The bread and butter of B2B content marketing — educational and actionable long-form content to help prospects and build brand awareness for On The Map Marketing’s SEO services.

These kinds of articles will come with a detailed content brief, style guidelines, and you’ll need to optimize them for a keyword. An example of one such blog post is link building for law firms (https://www.onthemap.com/blog/link-building-for-law-firms/).

You’ll collaborate and work on these pieces with the content marketing director for both of these projects — unless a specific landing page requires interacting with our sales/customer success team.

Whom are we looking for?

1. Existing freelance writing experience: You must have created some of these kinds of B2B content: blog posts, landing pages, case studies, and email copy. You should have experience writing for a business audience that’s optimized for search engines.

2. Reliability: You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines on our content calendar, so turning around articles as per assigned dates and incorporating feedback quickly is super important. And hey, it needs to be done while ensuring high-quality.

3. Adaptability: You’ll work on different kinds of content. If you don’t have existing experience in a specific type of writing, you’ll need to learn quickly and adapt to different writing styles as needed.

The perks, you ask?

1. This is a long-term, well-paid gig: OTM has a full calendar and scaling content on our website. And I’m looking to build a long-term relationship with a few proficient writers. High-quality content ain’t cheap, and we’ll compensate you well for your time.

2. Polish your writing skills in a collaborative environment and build an enviable portfolio: Our writing process will involve thorough feedback, but you’ll become a better writer and create something you’re proud of by the end of it.

3. Growth-driven environment: At OTM, we aim to seek solutions and get results. If you’re ambitious and like ownership of your work, you’ll love scaling our content marketing efforts.

4. Work on your schedule: As long as you meet the deadlines, you’re free to choose your work hours, whether that’s early morning or late at night. We’re pretty chilled people to work with as long as your work is delivered on time and high-quality.

Sounds like a gig right up your alley?

Here’s how to apply:

3. Share three pieces of your writing in the digital marketing niche you’re most proud of. Please try to include service landing pages and SEO/digital marketing samples (if you’ve any).

4. Both of the above kinds of writing would be around 2500 words. How many of these can you do in a month?

5. Please share a quote per content piece for both kinds of writing.
