Description

Hopscotch Girls is all about empowering girls. We create activity books (think coloring books, sticker books, journals, etc.) that are both fun and positive for girls. We aim to make it easier for parents, grandparents and caregivers to lift girls up.

We're looking for a skilled writer to produce high-quality, on-brand articles for the Hopscotch Girls blog. Our posts are generally 300 to 600 words long. Our voice is positive, upbeat and encouraging, and we try to make posts short and easy-to-read for busy parents and grandparents.

Here are a couple of examples of posts from our blog:

How We Work

We'd love to find a writer that we can work with long-term and that will write 4 posts a month for us. We can provide topics for the post, but would love to find someone that can share ideas with us too.

If we work well together there's potential to take on additional writing—developing content for our website, product descriptions, additional articles, etc.

Requirements

Excellent English skills
2+ years of writing experience
Knowledgable about raising girls (ex: experienced parent, teacher, mentor, etc.)
Must provide writing samples (preferably on parenting, girls/women, or something similar)
Ability to write 4 articles per month (300-600 words each)
Good research skills and attention to detail
SEO knowledge is a plus
